What is this?
Typically a guide on going through the Sealed Temple. As for a map, I tried
my hardest using the Notepad. I was doing the path of the currents, but due
to some people that may get confused, I decided to just label their
destinations. Some of the maps are a little off-scale.

How to reach the Sealed Temple?
First off, you need a clear data. Beat the game and save after the credits
roll. After saving, load your clear data and you will be outside near Tules.
Head to where you got the Gladiator, Cannoneer, and Oracle class (provided
that you got the 12 Legendary Weapons), which is S of the Phantom Village.

Before starting...
Be around Level 45 before starting. I entered around Level 41 and 42. Make
sure you have full stock of items like Ethers, Phoenix Downs, and Hi-Potions.
Carry Elixirs if you want, but they are expensive (who needs 'em. I don't). A
suitable class to conquer the dungeon is the Freelancer (this is what I went
through with). Have GOOD armor, trust me. Ribbons can help. Mastered all
Jobs, though it sounds like overkill and it is not necessary. Everyone
equipped with a Protect Ring. Even a small restore of HP is a BIG difference.
Smoke or Flee ability. This can ensure that you run from anoying fights.
Someone equipped with Masamune and Flee or Smoke. This can ensure that you
flee quickly. Also the Read Ahead ability can decrease the random encounter
rates.
My set-up is: (before mastering all Jobs)
Bartz: Masamune+Enhancer with Smoke and Blue
Lenna: Artemis Bow with Summon and Blue
Krile: Dragon Whisker+Defender with Dualcast and White
Faris: Excalibur+Holy Lance with Finisher and Time
Everyone: Crystal Armor, Ribbon, and Protect Ring (should've stolen that
Genji Armor)

When you enter, go down through a door. Press the switch in the middle of the
room and go through the door to the left. (I can't believe I didn't see the
switch when I played the first time, before clearing). When you go through
the door on the left, you will come across a save point. Go up and outside.

down and you will reach an area with some shining lights. Examine the one
to the left and you will be teleported to the Titan's Grotto. (The one at
the bottom will also take you to the Titan's Grotto.)

TITAN'S GROTTO, B1:
--If you took the left light, you will be at the top of a cliff. Examine the
nearby chest to get Dark Matter. Go right and follow the path and you will
reach some stairs. Go down the stairs and you will come across a chest
containing an Elixir. Go back and go down a waterfall and go left until you
reach a chest containing the Vishnu Vest. Go right and you can go to B2.

TITAN'S GROTTO, B2:
--Have someone with !Catch. Why? You need it to catch a Behemoth. Catch a
Behemoth. After catching (or catching it later), go down the stairs near the
entrance to a chest containing an Elixir. Just follow the path and you will
end up at the Ruined Shrine, Hall of Watchmen.

RIVER OF SOULS, B1:
--There are 3 chests containing an Iron Draft, Goliath Tonic, and a Power
Drink. It may take multiple runs to get the chests. Taking the second
stairs will take you to a path containing the Iron Draft and Power Drink.
The third stairs will take you to the Power Drink, the fourth stairs take
you to the Goliath Tonic and the Power Drink, and the fifth will take you to
a pit. Going up from the fifth stairs lead to a door. Near the Power Drink,
there is a pit that takes you to B2.

RIVER OF SOULS, B2:
--If you took the pit near the Power Drink, go up and left to a chest
containing a Dark Matter. Take the stairs down to a chest containing a
Turtle Shell. Follow up and take a left and you will reach 4 stairs. Take
the 2nd stairs to reach a chest containing an Elixir. Take the stairs
nearby and you will be near the Dark Matter chest. Go up from the Dark
Matter chest and go right to a Boss Encounter! Have someone with Blue,
Black, White, Time, and Summon Magic. If you have Dualcast, have your White
and Black Magic user use Dualcast.

BOSS: Gil Turtle HP: 32768
WEAK VS. Ice, Cure
If you fought this thing the first time, it was really powerful. Now, you may
stand a chance against this fool. Start the fight off casting Hastega and
Mighty Guard. Try to hit with Slow. Summon Carbuncle and bounce off Blizzaga
and Curaga. This is no typo. BOUNCE OFF CURAGA! Why? It hurts it, though
it absorbs Holy damage...for an Undead monster. I found this out by mistake.
Everytime you hit it, it will counter with Turtle, which can cause Poison and
hit twice. When it dies, it will use Earthquake.

RIVER OF SOULS, B3:
--This area is straightforward. Take the left side to a chest containing a
Cottage. Follow the path and you will see another chest with a Fuma
Shuriken. Remember that Behemoth Soul? Talk to the man and he will ask for
a Behemoth soul. Give it to him and he will unlock a seal on the sealed
door near the entrance. Go all the way back.

--Go left and ignore the cell doors. The second door is locked. Go left and
up and turn right through a secret passage. Follow it to some chests
containing Blastshot and a Buckshot.

RUINED SHRINE, HALL OF SOULS:
--Go down and right to 2 chests containing Blastshot. Go back and left
through a secret passage to reach 2 chests containing Blitzshot. Go through
the top pitfall, bottom pitfall, or the passage door to reach an area of the
Hall of Doubt. (I took the top pit)

RUINED SHRINE, HALL OF DOUBT:
--If you took the bottom pitfall, you will land near the exit towards the Hall
of Souls. I prefer the top pitfall. This is a sorta good area to solo
level up. I suggest giving the solo party member the Vishnu Vest, Masamune,
Reflect Ring, Rune Axe, and Smoke or Flee. Always try to fight the Dark
Elementals. They cast nothing but magic and with the Rune Axe, it will
always be a critical with the Rune Axe. Beware of the Chrono Controller
and the Mini Satana party. Unless you want to be Charmed to death, always
run. As a secondary, EXP Up or some type of magic ability. (I used White
or Black). Berserk can be sorta good.
--Top pitfall - go right and down. Follow to a chest containing a Blitzshot.
Backtrack and go up. Press the switch (switch -sa- on the map) to move the
wall. Go up and go left to a chest containing an Elixir. Go all the way
right to a switch (switch -sb-) to move the wall and going down to a chest
containing Dark Matter. Backtrack and go left and down. Follow the passage
up to a chest containing the Mace of Zeus. Go through the passage to the
left and up through the hole.
--Bottom pitfall - press the nearby switch (switch -sc-) to move the wall. Go
down and open the chest for an Ether. Pass the passage, which leads to the
Hall of Souls, and follow the passage. Press the switch (switch -sd-) to
move the wall again. Go right and up to a chest containing the Mace of Zeus
(if you have it, don't bother). Go down through the passage, up, right, and
then down to a chest containing Dark Matter (if you opened it, don't
bother). Go back and go throught the left passage from the Mace of Zeus and
go down the pit to the Hall of Watchman.

--"Arrghh! Again!? Whatever!...Oops, got carried away...-ahem-"
Once again, nothing special...for now. Go left and follow to the River of
Souls, B1.

--Just go up from the starting point to reach the Sealed Temple, Left Side.

SEALED TEMPLE, ARENA:
--Go left and down. Follow the path. Open the chest nearby for Dark Matter.
Go left through a secret passage to a chest containing a Hero Cocktail. Go
down to a chest containing Holy Water. Go right and take the secret passage
in the lower-right corner to a chest containing the Gladius. Go back and go
up and examine the statue. Now it seems we have come to a roadblock, yes?
This is what you do: Go to the Hall of Watchman. I think the easiest way to
get to the Hall is by going through the Hall of Doubt. (I tested the Titan's
Grotto, but it seemed a little too long.)

SEALED TEMPLE, WALL OF WATCHMAN:
--Go up and talk to the man. He will give you a potion to de-petrify the
statue. But, it only lasts 5 minutes. If you have Read Ahead learned,
equip it and make sure you have Thief mastered so you can reach the statue
easily. With Sprint and Read Ahead, so can reach the double doors in about
15 to 20 seconds. You can save your game, but it will shave off a good 20
to 30 seconds and then more (maybe about 45 seconds). It maybe wise to save
only once. Go through the double doors. make your way to the statue.

SEALED TEMPLE, ARENA:
--Make your way to the statue. Examine it to use the potion. All this stuff
just for this: BOSS ENCOUNTER!

BOSS: Grand Aevis HP: 42000
Dark Elemental x2 HP: 5500
This boss is pretty difficult if you don't know what you are doing. The Grand
Aevis uses Wing Attack, Zombie Powder, which Zombies one person, Poison
Breath, which inflicts Poison and damage, Maelstrom, reduces party HP to near
fatal, Zombie Breath, which Zombies and inflict damage, Paraclete, which
revives a party member as a Zombie, Blaster, which Stun a party member, and
Breath Wing, which deals 1/4 of damage to HP. To make it even harder, it is
accompanied by not 1, but 2 Dark Elementals that will revive if both are
defeated. Try to get rid of one so that you can get rid of one source of
healing done by White Wind. If you have no Ribbons equipped, the
birdy/serpent-thingy will petrify a party member with Evil Eye. This boss
can be very annoying, especially the whole Zombie issue. What you might need
is someone with Dualcast and Dualcast Holy or Flare. Rapid Fire is also a
good thing to use. Try to use Slowga, since the beast is pretty darn fast.
Here is my strategy:
Have a Mime with Dualcast, White or Black Magic, and Time. When my Mime
comes, I had him/her Dualcast Flare/Holy and Quick. Then pummel the Grand
Aevis with Dualcast Flare/Holy and do it again on my 2nd Quick turn.

to a save point. Go back to Arena (if you went back and save) and follow the

--When you enter, turn left through a secret passage to a chest containing
Ash. When you proceed up, you will see a bunch of robots. Those are
Omegas. Probably the same super-boss Omega that can kill a party in a
matter of turns. Luckily, you can escape from the menacing beasts.
Go right and through a secret passage to a chest containing an Elixir. Go
left, skipping the first path, and you will come across a chest containing
a Demon's Rod. Go back to the path that was skipped and you will be in the
Decendent's Path.

--When drop down through the pits, explore the area for chests that contain
Ash and a Blitzshot. Be sure to press the switches to go farther. On the
other side of the area, go down to a chest containing Holy Water. Go up
and press the switch to go into the room with Omega Mk.II.
Word of warning: Un-equip everyone of Holy-elemental weapons (Excalibur,
Holy Lance, and Gladius) and replace them with other weapons. The Rune Axe
won't hurt. Also make sure everyone has Rapid Fire. "Talk" to Omega Mk.II.
BOSS ENCOUNTER!

BOSS: Omega Mk.II HP: 65000
WEAK VS. Fire or Lightning or Ice
This boss might start the fight off with Barrier Change. This means that its
elemental weakness is either Fire, Lightning, or Ice. If you have Black
Magic, don't even try to pelt this monster with Magic. It will just get
tossed back with an Auto-Reflect. This boss also uses Wave Cannon, 1/2 HP
shaver with a HP Drain to boot, Rainbow Wind, think Bad Breath, Flame Thrower,
a Fire elemental attack, Atomic Ray, an all-party Fire Elemental attack, Delta
Attack, which causes Stone, Earthquake, which it may use in conjunction with
Wave Cannon, Blaster, which stuns a party member or kills if no Ribbon is
equipped, and Maelstorm, which reduces HP to near fatal and may be used in
conjunction with Wave Cannon. It also has some type of Curaga-looking spell
and uses Search, which I think is that the next attack is a 100% hit. *thinks
about Pokemon move Mind Reader and Lock-On.
Long story short: It is hard!
This is why I said have Rapid Fire on everyone: to take out the boss quickly.
A cheap boss calls for a cheap method. If you strike it with Rapid Fire, it
may start countering with Encircle and Rocket Punch. Also a Spellblade of
either Firaga, Thundaga, or Blizzaga may work, but it is risky, as you might
heal Omega Mk.II.

--I had to cut short of the right side of the map to meet GameFAQ's standards.
When you enter, just go up and then right. Ignore the stairway that leads
into the lave/magma. Go up, ignoring the switch on the wall. Follow it
and you will come across a chest containing an Elixir. Doubleback to the
stairway that I mentioned. If you have the Light Step, you can walk across
without taking damage. If not, then cast Float. Follow the path until you
across stairways. Press the switch to form a bridge that leads to the a
chest containing a Ribbon. You can to right and then up to a doorway to the
Treasure Room, or you can go down the stairs and follow the path to reach
another set of stairs. Go up the stairs and go down to a chest containing
a Blitzshot. Go back and go to the Treasure Room, or go left and follow the
path to Shinryu's Roost.

This boss usually starts the fight off with Mighty Guard. Then it will start
unleashing attacks like crazy. If you strike him, it tends to "miss". The
boss also uses Maelstrom, an HP-reduced-to-near-death attack, Frost Breath,
Lightning, Blaze, Zombie Powder, and other attacks that I may not have
mentioned yet. If you, the reader, has some kind of strategy, please do tell
me. According to the message board, have people equipped with Dragon Lances
and use Jump. Another one is to pelt it with Dragon Cannons (Blitzshot +
Dragon Fang)

I'm so angry at this boss, I decide to go farther into the dungeon. If you
got lost reading this, go to the Sealed Temple, Left Side. The easiest way to
go all the way back is to take the teleporter in the Heart of Ronka, B3. Be
sure to go to the save point. Have someone, or rather all, with Black Magic
and Dualcast. I prefer a Mime or two with Dualcast, Black, and Time.

SEALED TEMPLE, LEFT SIDE:
--Go to the locked cage and open it. BOSS ENCOUNTER!

Archeodemon HP: 50000
Do not strike this boss physically. I repeat, DO NOT ATTACK IT PHYSICALLY! It
will use Death to fully heal itself. The boss really doesn't pose that much
of a threat. It seems to have an attack pattern as it grows weak. This is my
theory of its attack patterns:
Near full health:
Drain Touch -> Flare -> Focusing power -> Mega Flare/Giga Flare
After losing about 35000 HP:
Holy -> Holy -> Death -> Focusing power -> Mega Flare/Giga Flare
After the 35000 HP wave:
Meteor/Holy/Flare -> Holy/Flare/Drain Touch/Hurricane ->
Hurricane/Drain Touch/focusing power -> Mega Flare/Giga Flare
Drain Touch steals a small amount of HP. Flare, well, hurts. When it focuses

magic, it usually counter with Curse, which inflicts Confuse, or a very
powerful physical attack. Hurricane reduces HP to near death and Meteor and
Holy, well, you already know. Just use Mighty Guard if you have it and cast
Hastega. As for a strategy: Dualcast Quick and Flare and then Dualcast Flare
on the Quick turns. The boss is really not that hard. After defeating it,
the passage to go farther will be revealed.

--In this area, go right and follow the path to a chest containing the Robe of
Lords. Backtrack and take the left path to go farther. When you reach the
end, you will see a sparking light. Examine and guess what...
BOSS ENCOUNTER!

BOSS: Guardian HP: 55000
Launcher x2 HP: 20000
Wave Cannon HP: 22000
The Launchers can shot this rocket that can shave half HP. They are also
capable of using Rainbow Wind, which inflicts many status effects, Flash,
which inflicts Blind on all, Missile, reduces HP by 3/4, and Mustard Bomb.
The Guardian uses Delta Attack, damage+Petrify, Gravity, reduces HP by 1/2,
Graviga, reduces HP by 3/4, Off-Guard, reduces Def, Electrocute, a weak
electric-elemental attack, Encircle, removes a party member, Atomic Ray,
which deals fire-elemental damage to all, and Reverse Polarity, which switches
up the ranks of your party.
The Wave Cannon will start powering itself up. The messages will be:
Diffusion Beam Cannon: Online -> Laser Crosshair Brightness: 20 ->
Safety Lock: Offline -> Barrel Pressure Rising -> Blast Shielding: Activated->
Energy Cells: 128% Capacity -> Firing (Wave Cannon x2)
The Wave Cannon reduces HP by half with HP Drain included. To make it worse,
it fires it twice. This will reduce HP to 1 and when it is done, the HP drain
will finish off the party. So here is the strategy: first get rid of the
the Wave Cannon first. After that, start targeting the Launchers. If you
don't take out the Launchers, you will never be able to put the hurt on the
Guardian. Over time, the Wave Cannon and the Launchers will come back, so be
ready to destroy them. If you have a Mime with Dualcast Black/White and Time,
then use Flare/Holy and Quick. Then Dualcast Holy/Flare on you Quick turns.
Rapid Fire is also a good thing to use to. When it comes down to it, the boss
is pretty easy.
PRIZE: Crystal Orb

After vanquishing the Guardian, it may be wise to go back to the Hall of
Tranquility before pressing on. If you wish to not go back, then heal up
everyone and, if you want, restore MP or use an Elixir. Proceed onward.

BOSS ENCOUNTER!

BOSS: Enou HP: 60000
This boss can use Blizzaga, Protect, Aqua Breath, Meteor, Shell, Slowga, and
Deep Freeze, which inflicts Ice damage and may Stop. Later in the fight, a
message will say "The power of the Void in increasing!" When this happens,
Enuo will get powerful and start using new attacks: Dimension Zero, Flare,
Almagest, Meltdown, which inflicts Fire damage and may inflict, White Hole,
Petrify+Death attack, Hurricane, reduces HP to near death, Danse Macabre,
which inflicts Zombie, Reaper's Sword, which inflicts damage and most likely
inflicts Death, Level 4 Graviga, Grand Cross, which inflicts many status
effects, and Level 3 Flare. Have your team cast Magic. Pelt him with Holy
and Flare. If you use Rapid Fire, you may miss Enuo, but it is pretty useful.
Just keep attacking and healing and the boss will go down. Also watch out for
Danse Macabre.

After defeating the boss, more conversation will take place and you will get
the Necromancer Job. When you get the Necromancer, you will have to use it
and finish off the Mind Flayer WITH the Necromancer. Now you are pretty much
done with the Sealed Temple. You can go through the Cloister if you want.

Since I am happy that this FAQ was accepted, I decided to make a section for
the Cloister of the Dead. If you are wondering what it is, it allows you to
go through a series of battles against bosses. The bosses have been beefed up
to take more than you think. They are not "beefed" up to an extent where they
can kill in one or two turns, just enough for you to keep dishing out damage.
As for a set-up, you are on your own for this.
Here is mine:
Bartz (Freelancer) - Rapid Fire, Dark Arts
Lenna (Mime) - Dualcast, Time, Black
Krile (Freelancer) - Summon, Rapid Fire
Faris (Freelancer) - Blue, Rapid Fire
Through out this section, I will say something like "Use Rapid Fire" or
something like that. It is because I want a cheap, easy, and quick kill.

Strategy:
Wing Raptor - an easy boss. Does not deserve a strategy here. Rapid Fire or
just hit it hard. DO ANYTHING! Son-of-a-gun can't counter when its wings up
if you cast magic.
Garula - another chump! Same thing: hit it hard! Rapid Fire and Flare/Holy
will do the trick!
Siren - another one. This honey comes with Curaga, but don't fret. Blast her
with Rapid Fire or Flare.
Forza + Magissa - it's the duo! Don't be intimidated with Forza. He seem to
increase in power, making tackle hurt. Since I am at max level, it did a good
1500 damage. One advice: hit hard! Rapid Fire or just use Flare or Holy. It
seems that Death Claw has an effect on Magissa, so use it and strike her.
Gil Turtle - I think I wanna take back what I said. Then again, maybe not. I
advise you to use Curaga and Blizzaga on this fool. Flare seems to not have
enough juice to deal about 7000 damage here. Watch out for Turtle if you
don't have protection against Poison and Blind. It will end the battle with
Earthquake.

Strategy:
Liquid Flame - remember this dude? He seems to be a little powerful that I
thought. Watch out for Blaze. Once again, it changes forms. So, all you
have to do is pelt it with Blizzaga. I did 9999 for me. In Hand form, it
seems to be resistant against Blizzaga, so use Flare. Long strategy short:
pelt it with Blizzaga and Rapid Fire. If you finish it with a Necromancer,
you will learn Meltdown. For some reason, this boss can be "entranced". I
think one attack and it is dead. I think you can get it "entranced" by
absorbing all of its MP.
Soul Cannon + Launcher x2 - this boss is not as scary as last time when you
fought it the first time. Blast away with Thundaga. If not, then Rapid Fire.
Purobolos x6 - not this fight! I seemed to have a little trouble with this
fight. You can just hold out and have them use Self-Destruct. If you kill
them, even in masses, one will use Arise to ressurect the whole crew. I later
found another solution: use Osmose and Magic Hammer. This will ensure that
they won't use Arise OR Self-Destruct. Then finish them off with Death or
Doom or what-has-you.
Minotaur - remember this one? The same thing about no-magic-zone is in
effect here. This boss is not that hard. I just use Rapid Fire.
Triton + Neried + Phobos - it's the trio again! If you have Summon, go on and
use Odin. It works here. If not, then find some way to finish them off at
the same time. --snicker-- Phobos. Reminds me of W.I.T.C.H.

Strategy:
Byblos - it's the book fiend! Go on and use Rapid Fire. It is funny how it
can absorb Holy damage.
Tyrannosaur - it's that fiend that had that killer physical attack! Use a
Phoenix Down or wail away with Rapid Fire or Firaga.
Dragon Pod - not this fight! If you have Blue, use Death Claw on the Dragon
Pod and hit it. The rest is cake.
Archeodemon - Oh snap. I really hate this boss. This boss sort of gave me
some problems. Just use the last strategy if you have people with magic:
Just cast magic and don't hit it with physical attacks. I hit it with Magic
Hammer once and it did 9999 MP damage. So I could say use Magic Hammer until
you do enough where Death can't be casted.
Apanda - another book fiend! Rapid Fire will do the trick.

Manticore - this boss is not hard. Rapid Fire!
Adamantoise - this boss pack some mean physical defense. Just use Blizzaga or
a couple of rounds with Rapid Fire.
Jacknapes - was this fiend a regular encounter? Now it is a boss? Don't
fear. Just go on and use Rapid Fire.
Calofisteri - it's that chick! She started the fight off with Reflect when I
fought her. Just blast her with Rapid Fire.
Twintania - it's that beast again! You can wait until it focuses or wail away
with Rapid Fire. I prefer the wait-and-summon-Odin-or-any-instant-death
strategy. It seems to do more attacks than I expected.

Strategy:
Omniscient - this guy's a joke. If you have Summon, call out Carbuncle for
Reflect and bounce Black Magic off you. Don't even try to hit him with Rapid
Fire. He will cast Return to start the whole battle over. When you finish
him, he will try to get the last laugh with Flare.
Wendigo - well, this boss has 4 clones. You don't have to be afraid of Frost,
unless you are stricken by Hurricane. This boss is not really hard. When the
main boss goes down, just wait and the clones will dissappear.
Sand Worm - an easy boss. If you have Summon and Blue, two rounds of using
Leviathan and Aqua Breath will get rid of this easy foe.
Atomos - I knew I should've put Spellblade on. Nevermind...this boss is easy.
Rapid Fire. 'Nuff said.
Halicarnassus - not this chick! She starts the fight off with Ribbit, which
inflicts Toad. Once again, Rapid Fire.

Strategy:
Crystal x4 - no real strategy here. I think the Crystals can absorb Holy
damage. I just used Bahamut and Rapid Fire.
Melusine - it's that hotty! No real strategy is required. Just use Rapid
Fire.
Catastrophe - it's that eyeball fiend again. Just use Mighty Guard or Float
to keep the Float status going so it can't have time to use its Earth attacks.
Why am I saying this? Just use Rapid Fire.
Azulmagia - is this that Blue Magic fiend? Just go on and use Rapid Fire.
Necrophobe + Barrier x4 - finally some competition. The Barriers put some
resistance, but I took care of them easily. I had Krile summon Bahamut and
Bartz follow up with Doomsday. When Necrophobe uses Flash, that is your cue.
What is the cue? Well...Rapid Fire.
--Well...that's the end of this little section...and the Cloister of the Dead.
So what is the reward? Something called the "Medal of Smiting". What does it
do? Well...nothing. I'm guessing it is for bragging rights that you
completed an easy area. --Shikamaru tone-- "What a drag..."
