Version 1.0 - (November 21, 2005) - The walkthrough portion is finished for the 
most part, but there is still tons more that I need to add to the other 
sections.  The headings for each hour in the walkthrough should be finished by 
the next update.

Version 1.1 - (November 25, 2005) - Added a new section for extra hints and 
nightly item pickups.  A few more ghosts have been added to the walkthrough 
section (Screaming Woman, Man in Screen, Girl atop Ladder...etc.).

Version 1.2 - (December 1, 2005) - I am in the process of redoing the ghost 
list section.  I have changed the Secret Ghost List to the Numbered Ghost List 
since I didn't know they were all numbered until the second playthrough.  Added 
"Notched Arrow Key" and "Alternate Ending" to the secrets section and the 
walkthrough.  Also, "Prologue Night" was changed to "Daydream".

Version 1.3 - (December 3, 2005) - The numbered ghost list is up, but I am 
still missing a few ghosts which I have noted at the beginning of the list.

Version 1.4 - (December 9, 2005) - Numbered Ghost List is complete with a bunch 
of help from some readers.  Miscellaneous section has a few more extras and the 
walkthrough was updated here and there for the extra ghosts that were found.  
Finally found out when to open that trap door in the Attic Room (look at Hour 
XIII).

Version 1.5 - (December 19, 2005) - I have added a Main Objective list to the 
beginning of each Hour to help people that don't want to have the game spoiled 
for them.  Also added several miscellaneous secrets to the miscellaneous 
section (Faces on the wall, Standing Girl photo, etc.) and an Unknown Ghost 
List.

Version 1.6 - (January 23, 2006) - Added many notes about ghosts that only 
appear on the second playthrough, a few extras in the miscellaneous section, an 
extra note about Mirror Woman, and updated Woman Beyond Bars' description a

Ah, what a great way to end the trilogy on PS2!  Fatal Frame III is just as 
good as its predecessors in every way.  This time the story is a little deeper 
thanks to the constant return to Rei's house and investigation of The Manor of 
Sleep and all surrounding phenomena.  This is my first FAQ for one of my 
favorite types of genres (survival horror) and I hope you enjoy it...I know I 
sure did while typing this out.

This walkthrough is designed to help you get through the main game of Fatal 
Frame III and will point out all the photographable ghosts to help complete 
your ghost list.  Every word that is capitalized in the walkthrough represents 
either a key item, normal item, ghost, or file.  All the ghosts listed in the 
walkthrough are listed on the Nightly Ghost List in the fourth section in the 
same order you will run across them and in the Numbered ghost list with their 
respected numbers.  And yes, I know that the prologue hour isn't named in the 
actual game, but I wanted to name it myself.  If you have anything that you 
would like to add then send me an email.

I have stayed away from anything dealing with the storyline or cutscenes to 
avoid spoilers, but I cannot guarantee that this FAQ is totally spoiler-free.

While fighting you will need to take advantage of these advanced abilities 
which each character will possess once they find the camera obscura:

> Shutter Chance - When fighting a ghost and the indicator in the middle of the 
camera turns to a bright red, you will have an opportunity for a Shutter Chance 
or Fatal Frame.  A ghost must be hit at the moment it is about to attack in 
order to initiate these special abilities.  A Shutter Chance will interrupt and 
slightly stun the ghost stopping its attack.

> Fatal Frame - A Fatal Frame can be initiated during the Shutter Chance 
window, but the ghost usually has to be extremely close in order for it to 
work.  A Fatal Frame will stop the ghost from attacking and send it flying 
back, leaving it open to a combo.  The Fatal Frame damage will vary depending 
on the type of film used.

> Combo - Once a Fatal Frame has been initiated, the staggering ghost will be 
open to a combo.  Keep the camera indicator directly on the ghost until a 
bright red color flashes on the screen, then snap another shot to quickly start 
a combo chain.  The ghost will fly back once again and will be open to another 
combo attack.  As long as the ghost is still in range, you can keep adding more 
shots to the combo as long as you can keep up the timing for each shot.

-- Rei Kurosawa

The protagonist of the main story and freelance photographer.  Since losing her 
boyfriend in an accident, Rei has found herself drawn into the "Manor of Sleep" 
which she sees every night in her dreams.  She is desperately trying to solve 
the mystery connecting the Manor of Sleep to the Curse of the Tattoo.

Unique Abilities

- Flash: Flash will allow Rei to send the ghost flying back at any time, and 
will leave it open to a shutter or Fatal Frame.  Rei will start out with a 
certain amount of flashes per night once the ability has been received.  Exit 
and reenter the dream world to change the amount back to default.

-- Kei Amakura

A non-fiction writer conducting research into folklore and urban legends.  Also 
drawn into the Manor of Sleep, he is able to provide Rei with various kinds of 
information.  His Spirit Power is weak, and he finds it difficult to fight off 
the ghosts that attack him.  Instead he relies on wealth of background 
knowledge and superior health to help him confront the Curse of the Tattoo face 
to face.

Unique Abilities

- Hiding: Kei is able to duck down along the side of any wall-type section in 
order to hide from a ghost.  While it is not totally useful, it will help out a 
bit when Kei does not have the camera obscura.  As long as the filament on the 
bottom right hand side of the screen is blue, the ghost does not see Kei, but 
if it changes to red, then the ghost knows where Kei is.

-- Miku Hinasaki

Lives in Rei's house, where she works as Rei's assistant.  Since being drawn 
into the Manor of Sleep, she has regained her lost Spirit Powers.  She, too, is 
trapped inside the Manor of Sleep, lured there by the vision of her dead 
brother.  Her strong Spirit Powers enable her to use the Camera Obscura to the 
utmost of its abilities.

Unique Abilities

- Sacred Stone: Sacred Stone will allow Miku to slow down time momentarily and 
will help you to get a shutter or Fatal Frame shot much easier if done 
correctly.

- Double: With this function Miku can charge one shot, then charge an extra 
shot right behind the first for double damage.  To do this properly, charge the 
camera on a ghost until all the icons are lit up, then hold the shoot button to 
charge an extra shot around the icons of the first.  Let up on the shoot button 
and you will cause double damage to the ghost targeted.  If you let up during a 
shutter chance and achieve a Fatal Frame shot, then the rest of the combo shots 
in the Fatal Frame combo will hit for double damage as long as you time the 
shots just right.

Please not that some of the ghosts that I have listed in the walkthrough will 
ONLY appear on the second playthrough.  For some of the secret ghosts, you will 
have to have the "Sense" function equipped for their presence to be given away.

Each Hour (or night if the hour is long) now contains a Main Objective list for 
those of you who are looking for hints, but do not want the game spoiled for 
you.  The Objective list is purposely brief as to avoid spoilers and only 
consist of the requirements to make it through each hour.

1. Open the door to the Engraving Shrine.

=-= Grave Courtyard =-=

Use this chance to get the feel of the camera.  Triangle will equip and unequip 
the camera or switch between what is referred to as field mode and finder mode. 
While in finder mode (camera equipped) use the left analog to move the camera 
around and use the right analog to move your character.  Press X or R1 to take 
snapshots.  Snapshots can be viewed anytime through the "Photos" menu of the 
main menu.  

When you are ready, walk straight ahead past the graves and go through the door 
in the back.  

=-= Hall with Tatami =-=

The door in the back is now locked.  Ah the tension!  Go to the left in the 
next room and snap a shot of THE TURNED BACK MAN while looking through the 
lattice.  He will stay there until you go past the lattice via the left side.  
Up the stairs on the left side, move toward the door way in the back and 
quickly snap a shot of BECKONING YUU through the doorway in the distance.  In 
the area where the ghost was, as you go by the wall that separates the hall 
from the room off to the left side WANDERING MOTHER and WANDERING DAUGHTER will 
appear on the other side of the wall.  You must be ready for them, and will 
need to go around the wall and snap a shot very quickly.  To get to the next 
room, go through any door - they all lead the same way.  If you decide to go up 
the stairs to the second floor, a Man in White will attack you.  Go through any 
of the doors to escape him.  If you die within this room or the next you will 
start in the Garden Corridor and be able to continue.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

After the mirror is passed, as you come upon the lattice on the side, snap a 
quick shot of the LATTICE WOMAN.  Don't run up to the lattice, snap a shot 
right when the camera angle shows her.  As you come upon the area where snow is 
falling through the hole in the roof, a Hidden Face Man will attack.  He's 
vastly against snapshots, so run from him and go through any of the doors ahead 
to escape him.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

On the left and right side a GIRL IN HALLWAY will appear in the hall of each 
side.  Take a pic of them both and go through the double doors in the middle of 
this area.

=-= Shrine Courtyard =-=

Down the stairs and straight ahead a little ways, you will have to be extremely 
fast to get a shot of DISAPPEARING YUU.  Go through the door ahead.

To the left, there is a gate with a "Notched Arrow" lock design on it, which 
cannot be opened at the moment.  Go down the hall straight ahead and grab the 
HERBAL MEDICINE in the dresser at the end.  If you must snap a shot of every 
ghost in the game, then I would very much recommend that you save your game 
before going to the Partitioned Room since the one in there is extremely hard 
to catch your first time.  Go up the steps and through the door on the left 
end.

=-= Partitioned Room =-=

As you walk into the room a GIRL IN STUDY will pass by behind the lattice 
window on the right.  In order to snap a shot of her, you must run toward the 
lattice window, equip the camera, and take a pic of her quickly, while she is 
by the lamp on the other side.  By the alcove, in the back right side of the 
room, pick up the MEMO IN SHAKY HAND.  The door in the back is sealed so exit 
the room.

=-= Foyer =-=

Through the connecting hallway in the back right snap a shot of the DAUGHTER AT 
DOOR when walking up to the door that leads to the Hearth Room.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

As you walk up to the pot, take a quick pic of WANDERING MOTHER and WANDERING 
DAUGHTER.  The door in the back is sealed and the ladder will only lead up to a 
door that is locked with a "Bellflower" design.  Go toward the stairs on the 
left side and quickly snap a shot of the 2nd FLOOR WOMAN.  Continue up the 
stairs to see a cutscene.  At the end of the cutscene you will find the CAMERA

Notice the strange bell noise?  Down the hall and around either side you will 
find a peephole.  Look through the hole and use the camera to snap a quick shot 
of the IMPALING GIRL.  If this is your second playthrough, snap a shot of 
PEEPING GIRL as well after Impaling Girl (she's hard to miss).  Look through 
the lattice on the side of corridor and take a snapshot of the CROUCHING WOMAN. 
She will leave you with an undeveloped photo.  As you leave the room, and go by 
the bars, a LATTICE WOMAN will appear.  Go back out of the room and save your 
game.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

About midways down the stairs, MOTHER DOWNSTAIRS and DAUGHTER DOWNSTAIRS will 
appear.  Snap them both and try to open the door that leads to the Foyer.  Holy 
lord that was awesome!  The Wandering Mother will attack you after the 
cutscene.  BATTLE controls are added to your files before the battle.

Do not stay in finder view the whole time while fighting her, unless she is in 
view.  She will teleport constantly to a different side of the room and try to 
grab you.  Use Type 14 Film on her since she poses little threat.  Target the 
head of the mother with your camera as she comes up to you and let it charge.  
Right when she holds up her arms and when her mouth opens, the circle on the 
camera will turn red allowing you to get a shutter shot in on her.  If you wait 
until she lunges, you will take quite a bit of damage from her with your 
snapshot.  After the battle, go back to the Foyer.

=-= Foyer =-=

Walk toward to the end of the hall and stop.  Equip your camera and take a 
snapshot of the CROUCHING WOMAN.  Look for her legs by the wall.  Walk straight 
ahead to activate a cutscene.

=-= Rei's Room =-=

Once you are through looking around, go outside and downstairs to talk to Miku.

=-= Hallway =-=

Miku will give you LETTER FROM KEI 1.  It's a good idea to explore the Rei's 
house just a bit to get familiar with each room.  When you're ready, go to 
Yuu's room, which is upstairs right across from Miku's Room.

=-= Yuu's Room =-=

After the cutscene grab the ON THE URBAN LEGEND notebook off of the desk.  The 
notebook also contains a newspaper on SERIES OF VANISHINGS ACROSS REGION.  Grab 
the LETTER FROM KEI 2 off the shelf along with the CAMERA OBSCURA and the MUSTY 
FILM.  Go back downstairs and develop the film in the dark room.

Walk to the middle and the camera angle will show you where to develop it.  
After developing the film go back to the living room and talk to Miku.

Now you will have the choice of when to visit the Manor of Sleep by checking 
the bed and when to save by checking the Camera Obscura.  Save your game and 
then check the bed to go to the Manor of Sleep.

You might want to switch to your Type 7 Film for now to avoid wasting the Type 
14 on random ghost.  You can go back to your room anytime during the game by 
opening the door in the back of the Foyer.  Walk down the hall ahead and take a 
shot of ESCAPING WOMAN.  You will have to take a pic as soon as you equip your 
camera after the camera angle switch in order to catch her.  She really lives 
up to her name!  If you want to grab a few more pics of ghost then go back to 
the Hearth Room.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

As you go up the stairs DOWNSTAIRS DAUGHTER will appear below the stairs.  
Equip the camera and point it downward to snap a quick shot of her.  You have 
to get that perfect angle through the stairs in order to catch her.  Start from 
the bottom and run (don't walk) up the stairs and stop the second you hear the 
chime.  Point down and you should have the perfect angle to snap her after 
stopping.  Save your game and take the HERBAL MEDICINE from below the stairs.  
The Downstairs Daughter ghost will attack you.  Like the ghost in the first 
dream she will teleport a bunch, but she gets even worse.  If you stay in 
finder view, make sure to constantly move around so she can't grab you as 
easily.  For her attack, she will instantly teleport toward you and try to grab 
you - this is your chance for a Fatal Frame (if this is your second 
playthrough).  You can get a shutter chance as she floats by you.  Use Type 14 
film to take her out quickly since you don't get many heavy damage chances 
because of her constant teleporting.  Now it's time to go back to stalking that 
girl.  Return to the Foyer after the battle.

Go through the door that the girl previously ran over to (Partitioned Room).

While on the other side of the room, grab the TYPE 14 FILM from behind the 
chest.  Go through the door in the back and get ready for one hell of a hard 
ghost to catch.

=-= Stairs Hallway 1F =-=

Upon entering the room immediately run towards the bottom of the staircase 
(straight ahead) and snap a shot of SCREAMING WOMAN.  You will have to be 
extremely quick to catch a shot of her.  Your range has to be upgraded some to 
stand a chance of snapping her.  As you raise the camera obscura you will have 
a slight second in which to snap her photo before she is out of view.  As you 
go up the stairs, equip the camera and be ready for the WOMAN IN CORNER that 
will run to the hall in the back.

=-= Stairs Hallway 2F =-=

Upstairs snap a pic of the door on the far left side to see a picture of some 
stairs.  Something is below them.  The stairs near the middle of hall will lead 
you to the 3F Storage Room which contains a TYPE 61 FILM pickup in the back on 
top of a box.  Go downstairs at the other end of hall. 

=-= Stairs Hallway 1F =-=

Grab the EQUIPMENT ALARM w/file from off the shelf.  This will help you achieve 
a Fatal Frame on a ghost.  Take a snapshot right when the indicator at the top 
of the camera in finder mode turns red to get a Fatal Frame.  Take a pic of the 
MAN STOPPED DEAD ghost in the storage area across from you.  The small door to 
the side with the "Four-Point Well" design (be sure to check it for an entry in 
your notes) is locked for now, so go back upstairs.

(Note: You have to take a pic of the door in the 2F Stairs Hallway for the 
ghost to appear.)

=-= Stairs Hallway 2F =-=

As you get near the stairs that you first came up, a Wandering Mother will step 
out from the hall in the back and attack.  Use Type 7 film and give her a few 
Fatal Frames.  Her Fatal Frame chance will come as she gets right in the face 
of the camera.  Go downstairs and save your game then go back to the door that 
you couldn't get through previously on the 2F.

=-= Corridor =-=

When you reach the end of the hall, go to the room off to the left and snap a 
pic of the CROUCHING WOMAN.  Walk into the room.  

=-= Room With Blind =-=

The section of the room with the bed has some TYPE 61 FILM on the shelf in the 
middle.  Walk up to the woman and try to talk to her to get a BURNT PASSPORT 
and add a note to your notes.  Walk away from the woman to end this dream.

=-= Rei's Room =-=

Save your game at the Camera Obscura.  Go downstairs and examine the counter 
for a note that Miku left.  

=-= Living Room =-=

Approach the door in the back and the phone will ring.  Upon answering the 
phone, Miku will tell you about the girl and a cutscene will start.

Pick up the TYPE 14 FILM from behind the chest once again and move on.

Save your game.  Once you reach the top of the stairs take a snapshot of the 
BENDING SHADOW (x3) as they go by in the back.  Follow the shadows into the 
Corridor.

A cutscene will start once you go toward the Room with Blind.

=-= Room With Blind =-=

These three Black Shadows attack very stangely.  They will walk toward you from 
the girl and begin to bend.  Their bending is actually their attack.  Let the 
camera charge to its fullest and give them a shot of Type 14 film as they bend. 
They always teleport back to the girl after an attack.  After you've taken 
enough damage from them, the Female Survivor (girl) will attack.  She will walk 
toward you while holding out her arms and will try to lunge at you.  Right when 
she gets extremely close is the window of opportunity for a Fatal Frame.  Combo 
her with attacks as she falls back from the Fatal Frame to really increase the 
damage.  All you really need is Type 7 film for her.

Save your game and go downstairs.

Talk to Miku and she will give you YOSHINO TAKIGAWA'S DIARY and a photo of 
YOSHINO TAKIGAWA.

nodded right then.  You will notice a slight graniness as you leave Rei's room. 
Walk downstairs and look over into the kitchen area for a little surprise.  It 
will disappear if you try to arm your camera.  Go into the dark room and leave. 
Once you go by the Altar Room, on your way back toward the Living Room, a dark 
shadow ghost will appear in the Altar Room.  Snap a pic of it for an extra 500 
Pts.  Now, get back upstairs.  If this is your second playthrough you can snap 
a shot of CLOSET CHILD in your closet.  Other than that, go to sleep.

Pick up the FOUR-POINT WELL KEY from the area off to the side.  This is the key 
for that small door in the Stairs Hallway 1F in the storage area to the side of 
the stairs (yes, the one with the moaning).  Right as you go into the Corridor 
a Female Survivor will jump out right in front of you.  Equip Type 61 Film and 
deal with her immediately.  It should only take two shots if you get a Fatal 
Frame.  As long as she is alive Black Shadows will keep attacking you even if 
you take them out with the camera.  When you go to leave, you will hear some 
voices from the Room With Blind...creepy.

=-= Stairs Hallway =-=

Save your game.  Return to the Partitioned Room and Hearth Room to find the 
usual TYPE 14 FILM behind the chest and the HERBAL MEDICINE below the stairs. 
As you go up to the stairs that lead to the third floor Storage Room (middle 
staircase), the MAN UPSTAIRS will appear at the top of the stairs.  In the 
storage area of the 1F Stairs Hallway (down the stairs), use the Four-Point 
Well Key on the small door.

=-= Stained Corridor =-=

Take a pic of the hand that is stuck in the wall of the right side of the 
corridor for an undeveloped photo.  On the left side of the corridor go through 
the door.

=-= Grave Courtyard =-=

Take a snapshot of the grave to the side with the bluish glow.  There is some 
SACRED WATER in the back right of this area (to the right of the door you used 
to enter) near the well.  Walk up to the well and enter finder view.  Aim down 
toward the opening to take a pic of LURKING WOMAN.  The double doors in the 
back are locked with an image of "Two Mandarins" upon them.  Go back to the 
Stained Corridor and open the small door at the end.  

=-= Stained Corridor =-=

Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE off the floor and walk down the stairs.  Walk down the 
small passage ahead and check the area at the end.  Nothing.  Make your way 
back to the Stairs Hallway.  On the way back, two Man in White's will attack 
you.  Try to keep them both in view when snapping them.  Use Type 14 film to 
get rid of them a little bit faster since there are two.  Like the Female 
Survivor, they will lunge toward you and try to grab you allowing you to Fatal 
Frame them or shutter them.  After they are disposed of the final Man in White 
will leave a SLEEPING STONE (1) where he was standing.  Grab the Sleeping Stone 
and go back to the 3F Storage Room where the Man Upstairs appeared.

=-= 3F Storage Room =-=

As you go up the stairs to the Storage Room snap a quick shot of ESCAPING MAN 
in the back near the stone puzzle door.

For the puzzle door, insert the sleeping stone.  Now you will have to move the 
stones around until each one has a diamond shape in the middle.  To do this, 
move the stone with one slash to the left, the stone with two slashes down two 
spaces, and the stone with three slashes down one space, and then to the right 
two spaces.

Walk over to the left until your indicator in the bottom corner turns a slight 
blue.  Look to the left side and snap a photo of the area where your camera 
turns blue to find a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #5 INVERTED WOMAN).  Walk over 
to the small door on the right and enter.

=-= Attic Room =-=

Pick up the TWO MANDARINS KEY and the EQUIPMENT "EVADE" w/file in the back of 
the room.  The Evade function will allow you to evade ghost by shooting them as 
they grab you.  A Man in White will attack you as if he knows you just got a 
new function that needs testing.  Use some Type 14 film to dispose of him 
quickly.  Examine the sliding door panel in the back of the room.  Rei will 
notice a joint in the floorboards that is being held by something.  You can't 
do anything at the moment so leave.

=-= Grave Courtyard Roof =-=

As you start to move across the roof, look below and a ghost will move toward 
the double doors in the Grave Courtyard area that you need to go back to. 

=-= 3F Storage Room =-=

Go back to the Stained Corridor downstairs and go to the Grave Courtyard.

A Man in White will burst out in front of you as go to the double doors.  You 
have plenty of room so use any film of your choosing and give him his much 
desired close-up.  Use the Two Mandarins Key on the double doors.

Rei will notice some MUSTY FILM in the camera obscura next to her bed.

The phone will ring as you exit Rei's room.  Don't forget to develop those 
photos from the dream when you have time.  Pick up the phone to hear a few 
words from Miku.  Oh goodie!  Now we have an excuse to go rambling through 
Miku's room!  I bet she has a collage of camera obscuras in the shape of 
Mafuyu's head on the wall or something.

Ok, so it's a normal room...  On her desk, pick up the file on YOSHINO TAKIGAWA 
and the newspaper clipping of PATIENT DISAPPEARS.  Rei will also notice a photo 
of MIKU WITH MAN, which is lying flat on her desk.

ghost in the back of the graves, but DO NOT take a pic of her just yet or 
another ghost up ahead will not appear.

Go through the small door and grab the HERBAL MEDICINE on the floor, then 
leave.

=-= Stairs Hallway (1F) =-=

As you walk to the back of the storage area below the stairs, snap a pic of the 
WANDERING MOTHER that will appear behind you.  This ghost will not appear if 
you have already taken a pic of the daughter in the Grave Courtyard.  Make your 
way back to the Grave Courtyard and take a pic of the HIDING DAUGHTER behind 
the graves.  Head to the 3F Storage Room next.

Snap a pic of the HIDING DAUGHTER by the railing of the stairs as you come up 
them.  You will need to turn to the left near the top of the stairs.  Go back 
to the Partitioned Room now.

Grab the TYPE 14 FILM behind the chest as usual and take a picture of the 
WAITING MOTHER midways into the room.  She will leave you with an undeveloped 
photo.  Still not done ghost hunting, go back to the Hearth Room now.

On the way to the Hearth Room a WANDERING MOTHER will appear at the 
intersection of the hall.

Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE from up under the stairs as usual.  Up the stairs take 
a pic of the HIDING DAUGHTER behind the cloth in the corner of the room across 
from the save point.  She will leave behind a SCRAP OF PAPER.  A Wandering 
Daughter will now attack you.  I suggest giving her some high quality snaps 
with Type 14 film because of her constant annoying teleporting.

=-= Partitioned Room =-=

A Wandering Mother will attack you midways into the room where she was before.  
Punish her for her rude behavior with some low quality Type 7 snaps since she's 
so easy to Fatal Frame.  She will leave behind a picture for you to develop 
later as she did before.  Now, you can finally get back to where you were at 
the start of this night.  Be sure to save your game in the Stairs Hallway on 
the way back.

=-= Round Window Foyer =-=

Walk down the lit hallway.  

=-= Bell Hallway =-=

At the intersection a Man in White will appear from the right side and will try 
to strike you.  I would suggest Type 14 for this fight.  The Man in White is 
more aggressive than the ones you fought last night, and they now have weapons. 
Let the camera charge on him and wait for him to take a swing, then quickly 
shoot him to take maximum damage.  His strike is quicker then you might think 
so be cautious and shoot quick.  Go down the left hall.

=-= Projection Room =-=

Snap a pic of the film projector.  This will give you yet another film to 
develop.  Activate the projector.  A GIRL IN BACK will appear behind you as you 
watch the film.  Take a quick snapshot of her.  Grab the FILM "IMPALEMENT" from 
the projector.  You can watch the film again without interruption if you want.  
There is some TYPE 14 FILM on a desk in the back behind a curtain.  As you walk 
up to the type 14 film, if this is your second playthrough, aim your camera up 
at the pile of books above you and take a pic of BOOK GIRL.  Go to the space 
behind the projector screen to find the FOLKLORE NOTES 1 and EQUIPMENT "TRACK" 
w/file on the bookshelf.  The track function will automatically lock-on to 
ghost whenever you hold up your camera if there is one in the room.  Go through 
the door in the back of the room.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

As you near the bars, take a snapshot of the WOMAN PAST BARS behind the bars.  
Go through the doorway in the middle of the hall ahead and grab the HERBAL 
MEDICINE.  Stand right where the Herbal Medicine was and move your camera over 
to the bars and take a pic of the floor of the room on the other side to find a 
hidden ghost (Secret Ghost #9 HIDDEN CARPENTERS).  Continue down the hall and 
go into the next area through the door.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

The door in the middle up ahead is sealed for now.  Do not go up to the tree 
just yet!  Turn to your right (Rei's left) and go up to the save point.  Save 
your game and try to open the middle doors.  The second after the cutscene 
ends, raise up your camera and take a pic of yet another GIRL IN BACK.  Walk up 
to the tree in the middle.  As you near the stairs that lead down to the tree, 
take a shot of the HALLWAY GIRL in the back doorway.  Snap a shot of the tree 
to reveal yet another photo that you can develop.  Miku will have her work cut 
out for her when you wake up!  On the right of the steps is a STONE MIRROR.  Go 
through the back middle door.

(Note: If the Hallway Girl appears before you check the middle doors, then the 
second Girl in Back will not appear.)

=-= Closet Hallway =-=

Grab the TYPE 61 FILM from the box on the shelf.  There is a UPGRADED LENS 
"SLOW" w/file on the shelf for your camera.  The small door is locked with a 
"Dianthus" design so go up the stairs.  Near the top of the stairs, turn around 
quickly and snap a shot of the 2ND FLOOR WOMAN.  The door at the top is locked 
so go back to the Garden Corridor.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

Save your game and go to the hall where the girl ghost previously was.  

=-= Garden Hallway =-=

Take a pic of the small door near the end of the hall to see a photo of the 
HAMMERING GIRLS.  Examine the door for an extra note.  The door at the end of 
hall is sealed so go back the way you came.  When you're near the end of the 
hallway that leads outside, a Hidden Face Man will rush you like a crazed 
madman.  Equip some Type 14 film and get ready to shoot.  His Shutter Chance is 
right when he starts to swing (on and off).  As soon as you can get by him, 
dash out of the hallway so you'll have a clearer view of him.  This ghost is 
much more aggressive than anything you have fought thus far.  Shutter him any 
chance you get and do it immediately since his window for Shutters does not 
last that long at all.  You can get a Fatal Frame on him if you time your shot 
just as he is about to swing for the first time.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

Go back to the Bell Hallway.  Take the middle path so you can unlock the door 
in the Closet Hallway.

=-= Bell Hallway =-=

Go through the only door that you haven't gone through on the east side.

=-= Hall with Tatami =-=

Grab the TYPE 61 FILM near the sliding door on the right side and take a shot 
of the HAND SUCKED INTO FLOOR (at the small opening near the floor) on the 
right wall.  Go into the room with the kimonos and snatch the TYPE 14 FILM next 
to the Japanese doll.  Both doors at the end are sealed so go up the stairs 
back in the middle of the room.  Inside the drawer of the chest is a SACRED 
WATER.  Go back downstairs and unlock the door in the middle at the back of the 
room.  This will lead you back to the Hearth Room.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

Go up the stairs and enter the Corridor.

=-= Corridor =-=

Look through the peephole and snap a shot of the IMPALING GIRL in the room.  
This will unlock that door all the way back in the Garden Corridor.  Head back 
to the small door of the Garden Hallway.

=-= Hall with Tatami =-=

In the Hall with Tatami a Woman Brushing ghost will ambush you.  I would 
strongly recommend running into the middle of the room next to the staircase to 
fight her.  She will teleport and swoop in to attack you.  Right when she flies 
toward you will be the chance to Shutter her.  She can be extremely hard to 
snap at times because of her wavy movements.  Always remember that she will 
dive downward then move upward as she gets closer.  Use Type 14 film (61 if 
your good at aiming) and aim carefully.  If you do not see her in your view, 
move around continuously and FIND HER!  Continue to the Garden Hallway after 
defeating her.

=-= Doll Altar East =-=

Immediately snap a shot of the DOLL ALTAR GIRL upon entering the room.  Check 
the altar to find the BELLFLOWER KEY.  As you leave a Priestess Girl will 
attack.  Compared to what you just got through with, this battle isn't too much 
of anything.  Use the Type 14 film and snap her each time she tries to take a 
swing at you - this is her Shutter window.  She will teleport a bit, but she 
stays visible pretty well.  She will leave you with a photo that you can 
develop and a GRAY DIARY.

Snatch the MUSTY FILM from the camera obscura and go downstairs.

=-= Living Room =-=

Talk to Miku to find out where she heard that song.  Rei will add some notes to 
her notebook.  Go develop that film in the dark room from the night before in 
the Dark Room.

On the way to the Dark Room pick up the LETTER FROM KEI 3, PHOTO OF MIO, and 
TAPE "MANOR OF SLEEP: A" off the cabinet near the front door.

FOUND, and ABANDONED HOUSE file.  In Yuu's Room there is a THE "SPIRIT WORLD" 
book on his bookshelf.  Save your game and go back to sleep.

Save your game first of all, then grab the HERBAL MEDICINE from behind the 
screens on the side.  The door on the north side with the Sanscrit characters 
is locked so go to the other door.

=-= Rope Hallway =-=

Wow, this really brings back memories.  Walk down the hallway, and Miku will 
grab the CAMERA OBSCURA at the end.  The northern door is locked so go through 
the south door.

=-= Great Hall =-=

Grab the TYPE 61 FILM across from you and walk through the openings until you 
get to the door.  Check the door to find a puzzle that you cannot solve just 
yet.  Walk back through the openings and Hidden Face Man will come barreling 
toward you from behind.  Break out that Type 14 film and time your shots 
carefully.  He will leave you with a SIMULACRUM MASK and THE SACRED STONE 
w/file.  The latter will give you access to Miku's special ability, which will 
slow ghost down as long as your red gauge is filled.  Head back to the Foyer.

=-= Foyer =-=

Snap a shot of the double door entrance to see a Photo of the CLOTH ON 
PEDESTAL.  Place the Simulacrum Mask on the door on the north side to unlock 
it.

=-= Preserve Room =-=

Upon crossing the second board, a Woman Brushing ghost will attack.  Use Miku's 
special ability (Circle) to time the shots much better.  Wait until she starts 
to dive toward you then activate Miku's special ability.  Use either Type 14 or 
61, your choice.  She will leave a TWILIGHT STONE behind.  Go to the door on 
the other side of the room.

Now, pretend the bottom diagram is somewhat reminiscent of the one on your 
screen (humor me) and follow the directions below the diagram.

Take a pic of the GIRL BEYOND BARS behind the bars in the middle of the room.  
Enter the cage and collect the CRIMSON DIARY from the area where the girl was. 
Go through the small double doors.

=-= Rope Palace =-=

The Rope Priestess will attack you after the cutscene.  She looks quite scary 
but she's really not all that bad.  Use Type 14 film and look for a Shutter 
Chance.  Her Shutter Chance window will open on and off as she moves toward you 
to attack.  Try to pick a good time and shoot.  Don't really worry about 
charging up a full shot since you don't want to risk losing a Shutter Chance as 
she gets closer and closer to you.  Try to go through the door in the back 
after the battle.  Miku will hesitate when you examine it.  Turn around and 
walk back the other way.  Go back to the Foyer and try to exit the house 
through the front double doors

=-= Foyer =-=

A girl will appear behind you and tell you some news that will interest Miku 
and she will point to the Rope Hallway.

=-= Rope Hallway =-=

As you go down the hall BECKONING GIRL will appear at the end and walk to the 
right.  Take a quick snapshot of her, but watch out for the rope near the end 
that loves to get in the way of this shot.  The door at the right end of hall 
will now open.

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

As you walk down the hall BECKONING GIRL will appear once again and lead the 
way.  Don't follow her just yet.  Go into the back of the room and collect the 
TYPE 14 FILM near the kimono area and take a pic of the HAND FROM HOLE in the 
small opening near the wall (same place that Rei found it the night before).  
None of the other doors open, so go back to where the girl was and walk through 
the door.

=-= Blind Room =-=

Collect the HERBAL MEDICINE from behind the folding doors on the right side of 
the room.  Go up the stairs to the second floor.  The GIRL AT DOOR will appear 
in front of the door as you get near the steps that go down.  Open the door at 
the bottom but DO NOT move!  Equip your camera in the open doorway and aim up 
at the cage up above you to snap a shot of IMPRISONED WOMAN.  In the next room, 
this dream will end.

Save your game and go downstairs.

Pick up the LETTER FROM KEI 4 on the kitchen counter.  In the storage space 
under the stairs are a person's legs, but as you raise the camera, they will 
instantly disappear...strange.  Go into Yuu's Room and check his desk.

In the drawer will be LETTER FROM KEI 5 and two tapes (TAPE "MANOR OF SLEEP: 
B", TAPE "THE SAME DREAM 1".  If you go into Miku's Room she will give you a

8. Collect the Spirit Stone Radio and file from the Yuu's Attic and exit the

Now you are in control of Kei.  You might want to check through the HIDING 
MOVES document for an explanation of his hiding skill since you will be using 
this for some ghost.  Basically, you can duck down next to any wall-type 
structure to hide from a ghost.  The meter in the bottom right hand corner will 
glow more brightly as a ghost gets closer to you.  It will glow red when a 
ghost spots you.  Kei's camera cannot hurt ghost as of now, so his hiding skill 
is required for tonight.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

Walk out into the hallway and snap a quick shot of the ghost in the distance 
for an extra 500 Pts.  DO NOT follow her or she will chase you.  Walk down the 
other end of the hall to see someone familiar.  Follow the familiar face around 
the side of the hall to find some crimson butterflies flying around a door with 
a "Butterfly" engraving on it.  Go back to the intersection and up the stairs.  
Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE out of the closet (double doors).  There is a room off 
to the side.

=-= Kimono Room =-=

There is a PURPLE DIARY 1 on the red pillow to the side beside the koto.  The 
door at the top of the stairs is locked.  On the mirror stand on the side of 
the room is a Holly Hairpin (which cannot be taken yet).  Go over to the door 
on the right side, behind the kimonos, and examine it to find a Holly pattern 
engraved on the front of it.  A ghost (WOMAN BEFORE KOTO) will appear in the 
back at the koto (behind the screen), after you have checked the door.  In 
order to catch her you must look between the Kimonos.  Do not walk around the 
side of the kimonos before taking her pic or she will walk away from the koto.  
The Woman Brushing ghost will walk out from the screen in the back of you where 
the mirror stand with the HOLLY HAIRPIN is once you walk around the kimonos.  
Wait until she moves off to the side next to the staircase and run to grab the 
HOLLY HAIRPIN.  Run back to the door with the engraving and unlock it.

=-= Closet Hallway =-=

If the Woman Brushing ghost follows you, run down the stairs and hide behind 
the large dresser on the left side near the bottom.  Go to the Garden Corridor 
down the hall in front of the stairs and save you game.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

Enter the Barred Hallway on the west side.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE off the floor in the middle room and exit the hall at 
the end.

=-= Projector Room =-=

Take a pic of the projector screen to find a hidden ghost (Secret Ghost #16 
PROJECTOR WOMAN).  Watch the film (Unknown) that Rei picked up earlier if you 
so desire.  There is some TYPE 14 FILM in the back room.  Enter the Bell 
Hallway to the side.

=-= Bell Hallway =-=

The Hall with Tatami door is locked for now.  As you near the end of the Bell 
Hallway MAN IN SCREEN will appear behind the screen to the side.  You will have 
to be ready for him and run to the left of the screen for a quick snap.  Walk 
toward the exit and the ghost from the beginning (Tattooed Priestess) will come 
through the door at the end of the hall.  Hide behind the screen where the 
earlier ghost was and wait for her to come out of the hall.  Run by her and go 
to the Hall With Tatami (East Door).

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

Pick up the Type 14 FILM in the room with the kimonos.  Stand near the stairs 
and look up to snap a pic of the SECRETIVE OLD WOMAN.  When you reach the top 
of the stairs and get next to her and she (Kuze Family Head) will attack.  You 
can exit the room and reenter to and she will be gone.  Otherwise, lure her 
away from the chest that she was examining (dodge the hands that she shoots out 
by moving to the sides) and get to the chest to pick up the CAMERA OBSCURA, the 
FOLKLORE NOTES 3, and the LENS UPGRADE "SLOW" w/file.  Don't even think about 
fighting her, as your camera does no harm to her.  Run downstairs and take a 
pic of the door at the end of the hall (past the room with kimonos) with the 
doll on it.  A photo of a MIRROR STAND will appear.  This is the same room 
where the Woman Brushing ghost attacked.  Exit the Hall With Tatami and go back 
to the Kimono Room where you got the Holly Hairpin earlier (go up the stairs in 
the closet hallway to get back).  Save your game in the Garden Corridor on the 
way back.

=-= Kimono Room =-=

Take a pic of the WOMAN BRUSHING ghost at the mirror stand and RUN!  Go back to 
the Bell Hallway and she will stop her pursuit.  That pic will open that locked 
door from earlier in the Hall with Tatami.  Get back to the Hall with Tatami.

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

Two Man in White's will appears as you walk into the room.  Fight them or run 
by them and go to the door that was previously locked.  The Man in White's will 
still be in this room later when you come back so it is a good idea to go ahead 
and get rid of them if your camera is powered up enough (at least two upgrades 
for Max Value).  Snap a quick pic of the DISAPPEARING MAN and go through the 
door that he enters.

=-= Blind Room =-=

As you enter the room BLIND ROOM MAN will appear in the center of the middle 
area.  In order to get this shot, you will have to find an area where you can 
look past the curtain into the room.  Go to the side opposite the side you are 
currently at when you first enter this room from the Hall with Tatami.  Facing 
the other side of the curtain there is a narrow open space on the left side 
that you can look through and snap him.  Pick up the HERBAL MEDICINE behind the 
folding screen.  Both doors are sealed, so go up the stairs.  

=-= Library =-=

Collect the IMPALEMENT TOME from the first bookcase against the wall, THE 
ENGRAVER TOME from a bookcase further back, and the TABOO TOME from the right 
of the small bookcase in the back.  Grab the FILM "PIERCING OF THE SOUL" from 
off the side of the small bookcase and push the bookcase.  Examine the candles 
to the side to find the BUTTERFLY KEY.  Climb up the ladder and open the small 
door.

=-= Flickering Hallway =-=

The WOMAN IN DARK will appear in the back of the hallway.  You'll have to go up 
to the first opening to snap a pic of her.  Needle Woman will bust out right 
behind you if you try to go up to the small door in the middle (it's sealed).  
Get to the far side by going through the openings on the right side of the room 
and grab the TYPE 90 FILM.  If you move toward the film this way, you will not 
have to worry about the ghost.  If you do fight her, then I would suggest some 
very high quality film since she teleports often.  Go back the same way and run 
back to the Library.

=-= Library =-=

Go back to the Barred Hallway via the Kimono Room.  A Kuze Family Head will 
come up the stairs after you.  Run back into the Library and dash by her when 
she comes through the bookcases and get back to the Barred Hallway.

=-= Barred hallway =-=

Use the Butterfly Key on the door that Mio previously walked to.

=-= Storehouse =-=

Grab the UPGRADED LENS "PRESSURE" w/file from the pillow.  Walk over to the 
pots on the left side of the room and grab the STONE MIRROR from them.  In the 
room on the right, examine the barred cage to end this dream.  Strangely 
enough, you can take a picture of Mio through the bars and the picture will 
actually be labeled MIO AMAKURA, but will not be worth any points.  She is 
considered a ghost on the ghost list however.

Save your game and walk outside of Rei's Room.  As you walk by the hall 
upstairs, the camera angle will switch to Yuu's Room.  Go inside his room.

Alright, it appears the game wants you to open the closet.  Well...nothing.  
Search the closet.

Save your game and go back to Yuu's Room.  There is a little surprise waiting 
for you in the closet of the downstairs hallway if you want to go check it out. 
Miku may have some info for you downstairs also.

Open the closet and enter the Attic to find a SPIRIT STONE RADIO and a RADIO 
TRANSMISSIONS file.  Walk to the space in between the box where you got the 
spirit radio and the entrance.  Equip the camera and point it toward the 
opening to the left of the box to snap a shot of a secret ghost (Secret Ghost 
#33 KIRIKO ASANAMA).

5. Defeat all four of the Engraved Men.

6. Answer the phone downstairs.

A word of warning, if you wander around aimlessly tonight or any other night 
after this, random ghost will be all over you!  Sometimes a random ghost will 
immediately follow another random or scripted ghost.  This happens throughout 
the game, but it starts to get worse during this hour and the following hours. 
The normal ghosts seem more aggressive as well.

=-= Doll Altar East =-=

Go back to the Garden Corridor.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

As you enter, try to take a pic of the ghost of Yuu that walks to the door on 
the side.  It is possible to photograph him, but extremely hard.  He is worth 
500 Pts and does not appear on the ghost list.  Save your game and take a pic 
of the double doors for a photo of FOUR SHADOWS.  Walk toward the tree by going 
around either of the sides and take a picture of the MAN AT THE SPIRIT TREE 
right beside the tree.  It will give you a photo that needs developing for 
later.  Go into the Barred Hallway and the Projector Room and grab the HERBAL 
MEDICINE and the TYPE 14 FILM that seems to appear every night and make your 
way back to the closet hallway.

=-= Closet Hallway =-=

Wow!  What happened?  Go down the hall to investigate.  Follow the blood trail 
and take a pic of MAN IN DRESSER behind the dresser.  Pick up the FILM 
"SACRIFICIAL PILLARS" where he was.  Turn and walk up to the two doll baskets 
beside the dresser.  Aim your camera in between the doll baskets to take a pic 
of a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #8 HANDMAIDEN (MINAMO)) Go upstairs to the 
Kimono Room.

=-= Kimono Room =-=  

There is a ghost over to the side brushing her hair.  I double-dog dare you to 
interrupt her with a snapshot.  When she starts attacking you will notice that 
this Woman Brushing ghost is a bit different from the others.  She will 
teleport and sway to the sides like mad throughout the room.  She will 
sometimes stop and throw some of her hair at you.  The hair will take bit of 
life if it hits you.  Right when she throws her hair or at the very end of her 
usual dash attack is her Shutter Chance.  The kimonos make this battle really 
tough, so use your Type 61 film to give her the close-up she so desires.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

Open the closet door.  A Man in White will appear.  They're just the same as 
before, thankfully.  Type 7 or 14 is all that is needed.  Grab the HERBAL 
MEDICINE from the closet.  Down the hall, walk over to the area where the snow 
is falling in on the floor.  Stand right in the snow, look up, and take a pic 
when the crosshairs on the camera glow to find a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #10 
CHILD IN THE SNOW).  Go to the Bell Hallway (back in the Closet Hallway through 
the door near the stairs).

=-= Bell Hallway =-=

A ghost will run by as you enter the room...weakling.  Walk toward the side 
that he ran to and try to enter the door.  After you pass by the middle of the 
hallway a ghost will go by overhead (Note: You must investigate the Hall with 
Tatami Door and hear the moaning to do what is required in this hour.)  Return 
to the Projector Room and watch the "Sacrificial Pillars" film to see where 
each of the Engraved Men are.  Enter the Grave Courtyard.

=-= Grave Courtyard =-=

Walk across the grave courtyard and snap a pic of the GIRL ON ROOF as she walks 
across the roof up above.

=-= Stained Hallway =-=

Go through the small door and grab the usual HERBAL MEDICINE on the floor.  A 
Man in White will attack.  In the Stained Hallway there will be some eerie 
talking.  Exit through the other small door that leads to the Stairs Hallway.

=-= Stairs Hallway =-=

As you walk to the stairs an Engraved Man will appear from behind and attack.  
If it wasn't for his shutter chance constantly going on and off, then I would 
recommend Type 14, but since you may miss a few times causing damage, I would 
recommend you take it up a notch with Type 61.  He is basically a Man in White 
with a longer attack combination.  Hit him when he swings for a shutter blow.  
If you miss a shutter chance while he is attacking, try to move to one of the 
sides.  He will leave behind MORIYA TOME 2.  Run up the stairs to the second 
floor.  Make your way to the Room with Blind (where you fought the Female 
Survivor).  

=-= Room With Blind =-=

Walk up to the closet inside and hold up your camera toward the kimono doll in 
the closet.  Prepare to take a pic of CRASHING WOMAN.  Don't worry, she's hard 
to miss. Go back down to the first floor of the Stairs Hallway with the save 
point.  Save your game, then go inside the Partitioned Room right beside the 
save point.

=-= Partitioned Room =-=

The new camera angle will show the TYPE 14 FILM that is here every night 
extremely well.  Go to the left side of the closed room and move your camera 
around while aiming at the shutters until the crosshairs glow.  Snap a shot for 
a photo that you can develop later.  Exit the room and go to the Foyer.

(** If you do not get this undeveloped photo through this snapshot, you will 
not be able to activate a secret ghost later in the game on Hour IX. **)

=-= Foyer =-=

If you come into the Foyer through the Hearth Room, a Man in White will attack 
you once you reach the main hall.  Look above the bars on the floor to see 
something strange on the wall above.  What the hell!?  Walk toward the dream 
exit and an Engraved Man will attack.  Run down the hall and let the camera 
charge on him as he chases after you.  Use Type 61 and if your camera is at 
full charge, take the shot - don't worry about the shutter chance as much.  He 
will leave you with MORIYA TOME 4.  Walk over to the Hearth Room after the 
battle.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE and walk up the stairs and save your game at the...ok, 
that was wrong!  The save point is inactive.  Turn around and walk to the 
middle of the stairs and take a pic of the window at the very top of the wall 
across from you, near the ceiling to find PEEPING WOMAN.  Walk into the 
Corridor to deal with this thing that is disrupting your saving.

=-= Corridor =-=

As you walk around the left side a Female Survivor and her posse of shadows 
will attack.  As before, aim for the Female Survivor and take her out quickly 
so you don't have to deal with the shadows.  She seems more aggressive tonight 
- must not like people reading her diary.  The save point in the Hearth Room is 
now activated.  You can easily walk back out of the Corridor upon entering and 
the save point will be active if you fear Yoshino that much.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

GIRL ATOP LADDER will appear as you walk up to the ladder as if to show you the 
way.  If you get on the ladder and immediately get back off, a Priestess Girl 
ghost will appear above you for a brief second once again.  Walk over to the 
door that leads to the Hall with Tatami and stand in the area in between the 
two columns.  Aim toward the hearth to take a pic of a secret ghost (Secret 
Ghost #1 MAKIE KUZUHARA/KOZUE).  Unlock the door at the top of the ladder with 
the Bellflower key.  Don't worry, you got the key the last time you played with 
Rei so you couldn't have missed it.

=-= Tatami Loft =-=

Immediately snap a shot of PEEKING GIRL off to the side.  Go to where she was 
peeking and peek yourself so you can take a shot of a hidden group of ghost 
(Secret Ghost #21 SUMMONED MEN).  Pick up the SLEEPING STONE (3) and UPGRADED 
LENS "BLAST" w/file off the desk.  There is some TYPE 90 FILM on the bookcase 
behind the desk.  Walk to the corridor on the side, across from the entrance, 
and go down the stairs.  The passage to the left when going down the stairs 
cannot be entered just yet.  Be sure to grab the TYPE 14 FILM near the bottom 
of the stairs.  The door at the bottom is sealed so go back up the stairs.  
Now, we need to go all the way back to the Kimono Room.  Yes, that far!  Save 
your game in the Hearth Room and trudge back through all the other rooms.  Be 
sure to go into the small room below the middle staircase in the 2F Stairs 
Hallway for something extra (You must get Sleeping Stone (3) for the door to be 
open).  If you walk away from the room (let it change angles) and reenter after 
the extra, you will find TYPE 61 FILM in the back.

Take a quick shot of the WOMAN IN FLOOR as she appears behind the bars at your 
feet on your journey back.  Save your game whenever you can, on the way back.

=-= Kimono Room =-=

Walk to the southeast side of the room (look at the map) and go through the 
small door next to the stairs.  It's a little hard to make out the door.

=-= Above the Foyer =-=

Walk across the boards and get on the beams.  When you get on the beams and 
walk by the box on the left, equip your camera and aim toward the box's opening 
to take a pic of a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #7 REIKA YAKISHIRO).  A Priestess 
girl will attack as you go further across the beams.  Equip your strongest type 
film (or at least Type 14) and Shutter her as she gets close.  She will leave 
you with SLEEPING STONE (2).

(NOTE: If the Priestess Girl does not attack, then go back to the Bell Hallway 
and make sure you have examined the Hall with Tatami door on the east side.  A 
ghostly figure should walk by up above you as you leave if you examined the 
door.  Go back to the beam area and the master impaler, Hisame (Priestess 
Girl), should appear.)

Continue across the beams.  Once you reach the other side, go across the next 
beam to the small door.  Now for another sliding block puzzle that will unlock 
the door.  Follow the directions below.

Pick up the FILM "COMMANDMENT" from the floor.  Look through the peephole and 
take a pic of CEREMONY WOMAN at the bottom.  Exit the room.

Walk back across the beams and the boards and go back through the door.  Get 
back to the Garden Corridor and save your game then head to the Projector Room 
to view the movie if you wish.  You need to get back to the Bell Hallway.

=-= Bell Hallway =-=

Depending on the way you enter this area, two Man in Whites may attack.  If 
enter from the Closet Hallway or go anywhere down that hall they will barrel 
down the hall to the side and attack.  The door with blood trailing over to it 
is now open.

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

As you walk into the room an Engraved Man will attack.  There is a bunch of 
room in here so he is not near as bad as he was in other rooms.  Take him out 
quickly with Shutter shots and he will leave behind MORIYA TOME 1 and SPECIAL 
ABILITY "FLASH" w/file.  Grab the TYPE 14 FILM in its usual spot in the room 
with the two kimonos.  Walk toward the hall that goes to the Rope Hallway.  
Just as you enter the hall, the filament should turn blue.  Aim your camera 
towards the wall of the room with the two kimonos and up a little ways so that 
it slightly hits the area above.  Snap a shot to reveal a secret ghost (Secret 
Ghost #11 TENGAI NARUMI).  Go into the Rope Hallway.

=-= Rope Hallway =-=

Stop in the middle of the Rope Hallway, point your camera upwards, and take a 
shot of the body bag hanging from the ceiling to reveal a secret ghost (Secret 
Ghost #22 BEAM WOMAN). Proceed through the ropes in the hall and go to the 
Foyer of Himuro Mansion.

Save your game and grab the HERBAL MEDICINE from behind the shutters.  Go 
through the Preserve Room and enter the Confinement Room to take a pic of a 
secret ghost.

As you enter the room, walk to the left side of the cage and stand in front of 
the small table and cushion that are on the ground behind the bars.  Equip your 
camera and aim directly at the cushion to snap a pic of a secret ghost (Secret 
Ghost #23 Kizuna Himuro).  Go back to the Rope Hallway and walk into the Great 
Hall.

Walk to the back and use the stone from earlier to open a new puzzle.  Solve it 
to unlock the door.  Look below for the solution.

As you walk to the back of the room the final Engraved Man will appear with 
buddies - two Man in White's will accompany him.  Try to line all three of them 
up and then flash and shutter shot them altogether and you might be able to get 
rid of the Man in White's with one blow.  The Engraved Man isn't much by 
himself, but the three of them together are horrifying with their constant 
swinging.  After they have been defeated, the Engraved Man will leave behind 
MORIYA TOME 3.  Grab the SACRED WATER from the middle of the drawers off to the 
side and exit the room.  Go back to the Garden Corridor.

Save your game, then go through the double doors that are now open.

=-= Rei's Room =-=

Time to go develop that film.

=-= Living Room =-=

Answer the phone then walk to the hallway.

=-= Hallway =-=

As you go by the bathroom you will notice something "out of place".  Walk 
inside and investigate.  It is possible to snap a photo of the ghost that goes 
by the bathroom, but you will have to take it blindly, with only glowing camera 
crosshairs to guide you (the ghost will only show up in the mirror).  As you 
see it in the mirror, raise the camera (Rei should automatically turn) and move 
it until you get glowing crosshairs (the small circle in the middle will keep 
up with the invisible ghost as you move the camera) then instantly snap a shot 
for 500 Pts.  Walk further down the hall to the Dark Room.

=-= Dark Room =-=

When your further inside, as the camera angle switches run to the back and take 
a snapshot of WOMAN AT FEET.  Develop the photos to get the CROUCHING WOMAN 
photo and the MEN IN WHITE photo and leave.  Go back upstairs.

1. Fight the Priestess Girl in Doll Altar West.

2. Take a pic of the Ceremony Woman above the Wooden Figure Room to break the 
   seal on the door of Doll Altar North.

3. Collect the four Purity Stones from each Doll Altar.

4. Fight the Priestess Girls in the Tatami Loft (This is not exactly required, 
   but you must get rid of them if you want to make it out of the Tatami Loft 
   when going to the Hearth Room.  You can always crawl back through the space 
   in the Doll Altar South though).

5. Bring the stones back to the Tattoo Altar and solve the puzzle.

6. Fight the Kuze Family Head in the Tattoo Altar.

7. Check on Miku in her room.

8. Grab the Letter from Kei and the two tapes off the counter.  Listen to both 
   tapes in Rei's Room.  The requirement is that you start them, not that you 
   listen to the whole message.

Snap a shot of the area above the candles to get a photo that can be developed 
later.  Check the altar for an extra note.  When the camera angle displays the 
cage up above, walk over to the right side of the room (this will be the 
southeast point on the map) and turn around to face the cage in the middle.  
Aim toward the upper portion of the corner of the cage to snap a pic of a 
secret ghost (Secret Ghost #12 HANDMAIDEN (AMANE).  Exit the room when 
finished.

=-= Blind Room =-=

As you reach the top of the stairs, raise the camera quickly and aim to the 
right side of the blind to catch GIRL IN THE BLIND.  Grab the HERBAL MEDICINE 
from behind the folding doors as usual.  Exit to the Hall with Tatami, then go 
to the Rope Hallway, and finally the Foyer and grab the HERBAL MEDICINE from 
behind the doors and save your game.  Go back to the Hall with Tatami.

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

Get the usual TYPE 14 FILM in the room with the two kimonos.  Once you reach 
the middle, Miku will notice a lullaby.  Walk over to the opening in the floor 
on the west side and go through (same place where the arm was on previous 
nights).

=-= Under the Floor (crawl) =-=

Grab the SPECIAL ABILITY "DOUBLE" w/file from the ground.  Hold down the square 
button to move faster while under the floor.  Crawling Woman will attack you 
like a rabid beast once you get next to the exit.  She will crawl by on your 
left, then come after you.  Point the camera at her while backing away from 
her, and shoot as she gets ready to attack for a Shutter Chance.  She's pretty 
fast and there is little space to move, but she does not have much life.  Type 
14 should work nicely.  She will leave you with an undeveloped photo.  Exit 
through the opening at the end.

=-= The Doll Altar West =-=

Pick up the PURITY STONE L BLUE along with the GREEN DIARY from the altar.  The 
opening at the ladder you just came from will not open now, so go up the ladder 
on the west side (look at the map).  If you stay too long a Priestess Girl will 
attack.

=-= Under the Floor (crouch) =-=

A little ways from the entrance, equip the camera and look directly up.  Take a 
shot when the camera glows to get an undeveloped photo.  Walk midways down the 
path ahead, and take a shot of the second right pillar that is supporting the 
above floor to reveal a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #14 MAN UNDER FLOOR).  Climb 
up the ladder.

=-= Wooden Figure Room =-=

If you didn't take the shot below the floor, aim in between the two big wooden 
figures in the back of the room and snap a shot for an undeveloped photo.  
Taking this picture will make the secret ghost under the floor much easier to 
locate if you didn't take this pic below the floor.  Check the altar for a 
note.  Unlock the door.  Needle Woman will attack as you try to go through it 
into the next room.  Feed her some Type 14 and continue to the Barred Hallway.

=-= Barred Hallway =-=

Get the HERBAL MEDICINE in the closet and go to the Kimono Room.

=-= Kimono Room =-=

Grab the PURPLE DIARY 2 from the mirror stand off to the side.  Go to the 
Garden Corridor and save your game, then take a pic of the small door off to 
the left side to get the Peephole photo.  Return to the Kimono Room and go 
through the small door in the back, right beside the stairs.

=-= Above the Foyer =-=

Walk across the beams and to the small room.  While walking across the beams 
there will be a slight disturbance in the force (aka. the Priestess Girl below 
you).

=-= Above the Wooden Figure Room =-=

Look through the peephole and take a pic of CEREMONY WOMAN at the bottom to 
open that door in the Garden Corridor.  Go back to the Garden Corridor.

=-= Above the Foyer =-=

That slight disturbance from earlier will come back to haunt you as Priestess 
Girl comes toward you.  Make her eat some Type 14.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

You may want to go back to the Barred Hallway and Projection Room to pick up 
the HERBAL MEDICINE and the TYPE 14 FILM that are there every night.  Save your 
game and go through the newly opened small door.

=-= Doll Altar North =-=

Pick up the PURITY STONE BLUE along with the RED DIARY 1 from off the altar.  
Exit the room and go to the Doll Altar East which is in the Garden Corridor in 
the Hallway area.

=-= Doll Altar East =-=

Grab the PURITY STONE GREEN and exit.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

Now, go all the way back to the Stained Corridor outside the Bell Hallway past 
the Grave Courtyard.

Go through the small door and pick up the HERBAL MEDICINE on the ground.  Walk 
to the very end and go under the small space.

=-= Underground Passage =-=

As you might expect, Crawling Woman will attack near the end.  Grab the STONE 
MIRROR from the left path when it splits then go down the right path.

=-= Doll Alter South =-=  

Grab the PURITY STONE RED and the BLUE DIARY 1 from the altar.  Open the lock 
on the door in the back.

=-= Great Staircase =-=

Collect the TYPE 14 FILM while climbing the stairs.  You will be attacked by 
two Priestess Girls near the top of the stairs.  Do not fight them on the 
stairs!  Run into the room up above to fight them.  Now, you need to get back 
to the Tattoo Altar.  Make your way back to the Hall with Tatami, then the 
Blind Room, and then the Tattoo Altar.

=-= Blind Room =-=

Turn around and take a pic of the GIRL IN BLIND right before going down the 
steps to the Tattoo Altar.

=-= Tattoo Altar =-=

Grab the BLUE DIARY 2 from the right side of the room.  Walk up to the altar 
between the candles and examine it.  Place each stone with the X button and 
listen to the verse of the song.  The song has to go in the correct order in 
which the Handmaiden sings it.  Press the Square button to listen to the part 
of the song for any stone that you have already laid out.  I would very much 
recommend that you try to solve the puzzle without looking at my solution as 
the puzzle is not that hard and it is quite fun.  Still, look below for the 
solution...

After everything is placed correctly, go toward the door.  A Kuze Family Head 
will attack you as you try to leave.  If you can dodge the ghost's hand attack 
(it will shoot out a pair of hands each time it stops) then this battle is 
extremely easy.  Stay in finder view the whole time and move to the right or 
left with the right analog to dodge its hand attacks.  A shutter chance will 
appear on it shortly after it unleashes a pair of hands and when it moves from 
one side of the room to the other.  Type 14 film will work just fine, though if 
you want to get it over with faster, then choose Type 61.  The only things that 
the Kuze Family Head has going for it is its large amount of life and the fact 
that it looks creepy.

=-= Rei's Room =-=

Go downstairs and develop the MUSTY FILM.  As you reach the bottom of the 
stairs in the Living Room it will make a sound when you stand in a certain area 
next to the stairs.  Stand in that area and aim up at the window on the ceiling 
and take a snapshot when the crosshairs glow to reveal a secret ghost (Secret 
Ghost #32 CHILD IN WINDOW).

=-= Dark Room =-=

Develop the photos and you will get the CEREMONY ROOM BUDDHA, THE ALTAR TATTOO, 
and the CRAWLING WOMAN photos.  Go back upstairs and speak to Miku in her room.

=-= Rei's Room =-=

Walk downstairs and Miku will give you the LEGEND OF SONG 1 file.  Talk to her 
again if you have some photos that need researching.  Pick up the LETTER FROM 
KEI 6, TAPE "THE SAME DREAM 2" and TAPE "THE SAME DREAM 3" from the counter.  
Check Yuu's bookcase in his room to get a file on RITUALS AND STATUES.  Listen 
to the tapes in Rei's Room for the next night to start.

The door to Mio's cage has a symbol of "Light" on one lock and a symbol of 
"Shadow" on the other.  Take a picture of Mio for an undeveloped photo.  If you 
did not pick up the STONE MIRROR from Hour V by the pots, then go back and pick 
that up.  Go through the door ahead.

=-= Great Hall =-=

Open the closet door and walk inside to snap a shot of WORN-OUT MAN.  You will 
get an undeveloped photo from him.  Take a picture of the TWINS AT HEARTH once 
you walk to the right side of the room.  TYPE 14 FILM is behind the folding 
screen.  Go through the door behind the screen.

=-= Dirt Floor Hallway =-=

A Crimson Butterfly will appear at the end of hall.  Walk further down the hall 
and enter the Book Storeroom off to the right.

=-= Book Storeroom =-=

As you walk down the stairs take a snapshot of PEERING GIRL as she looks down 
upon you from far off in the background.  Walk over to the collapsed stairs, 
point your camera at the debris, and take a pic when the crosshairs glow to 
reveal a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #17 CRUSHED WOMAN).  The doors in the back 
are sealed so leave.  Needle Woman will attack as you leave.  Either run or 
fight.  She's not that bad if you don't fight her on the stairs.  Exit the room 
and walk down the hall ahead.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

Take a pic of 2ND FLOOR TWINS at the top of the stairs as you walk into the 
Hearth Room.  Grab the RED NOTEBOOK PART 1 from the side of the hearth.  The 
door on the left will only lead you to an exit for this dream so walk into the 
Kimono Room (middle door).

=-= Kimono Room =-=

Save your game and collect the RED NOTEBOOK PART 2.  There is a TYPE 61 FILM in 
the dresser.  Walk over to the closet and get the GINGER KEY off the floor.  
After you grab the Ginger Key, you will have to be incredibly quick to capture 
the WOMAN BEYOND BARS that goes by in the background.  Exit the room.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

The Tattooed Priestess will appear.  Run up the stairs and unlock the top door 
with the Ginger Key.  She will not follow.

=-= Twins' Room =-=

As soon as you enter the room take a photo of the TWIN MAIDENS in the center.  
They will leave you with an undeveloped photo.  Collect the LIGHT KEY and 
SHADOW KEY from off the small trays.  Be sure to get the Shadow Key last so 
you'll be closer to the bars when GIRL BEYOND BARS floats by them.  There is 
some SACRED WATER in the back dresser next to the door.  Go back outside.

=-= Hearth Room =-=

Go down the stairs in the back and the Tattooed Priestess will not notice you 
if she is still in the 1F Hearth Room.

=-= Dirt Floor Hallway =-=

Make your way back to Mio.  Look at the wall in front of you at the turn that 
leads you back to the Great Hall to see a face on the wall.  That wasn't there 
just a few minutes ago...

=-= Great Hall =-=

When you try to enter the Confinement Room a big ghost (Rope Man) will appear 
to the side.  DO NOT FIGHT HIM!  Besides being incredibly freaky, he is also 
invincible at the moment.  Run around the area and dodge his attacks as best 
you can.  Eventually a Crimson Butterfly will unlock the door to the 
Confinement Room for you.  Escape through the door and the ghost will not 
follow.

=-= Confinement Room =-=

Unlock the cage door.  Look on the desk inside the cage and get the PINWHEEL 
KEY and UPGRADED LENS "ZERO" w/file.  On the bookshelf next to the desk collect 
the TWIN SHRINE MAIDENS file and grab the CRIMSON SACRIFICE file from the 
bookshelf further back.  Exit the cage.  Go back through the doorway that leads 
to the cage and follow the Crimson Butterfly down the hall.

You will reach a pinwheel puzzle where you can place the Pinwheel Key that you 
just got.  Now you need to match up the pinwheel in the middle with the color 
of each leaf on the side of the four surrounding pinwheels by rotating the 
outer pinwheels.  See solution below.

Follow Mio down the corridor and go through the door at the end.

=-= Rope Shrine =-=

Walk up to the altar in the middle.  The meter in the bottom right hand side 
should glow.  Equip the camera and look above the altar to snap a pic of a 
secret ghost (Secret Ghost #19 WEDGE MAN).  Check the door on the other side.  
It's sealed by a strong power so...oh god!  That ghost is back - the real scary 
one, and this time you have got to fight him.  The only shutter chance you are 
given is when he dives toward you, right before he grabs you.  Aim up as he 
swoops down toward you.  It's risky!  Equip your most powerful film (Type 90 or 
Type 61).  The best time to hit him is when he shoots out faces that travel 
around the room and try to hit you.  Unload film on him whenever he starts to 
do this move.  He usually does this after a shutter blow.  Don't count on 
shutter chances alone to beat him or you will loose a bunch of life.

The door Mio went through is still sealed so you will have to go back to the 
Spiral Corridor now.

As you walk down the stairs another Rope Man will attack.  Unbelievable!?  Run 
down the corridor as quick as you can.  Don't even try to fight him.  Near the 
end, a Crimson Butterfly will show you the door to go through in order to 
escape him.

Save your game and go downstairs to answer the phone.

FOLKLORE files.  Check the bookshelf in Yuu's Room for a CARPENTERS SPIRITED 
AWAY file and his desk for a LAND SURVEYORS MISSING clipping.  Develop your 
photos (WOUNDED MAN and SEATED TWINS) and give them to Miku then go to bed.

Much like the dream from the beginning, a girl will appear on the side of each 
hallway.  Take a pic of the two BOWING GIRLS and try to go through the door in 
the back.  The save point is not active at the moment.  As soon as you try to 
go through the door, a Hidden Face Man will appear behind you and try to attack 
you.  Run to one of the sides and prepare to snap him.  His shutter chance 
seems to come much later than the other Hidden Face Man's - it will only appear 
when he is well into the first slash.  As he slashes toward you, back up and 
wait for the shutter chance.  Type 14 should work well.  He will leave you with 
a MAN IN CORRIDOR photo.  Save your game after defeating him.  We need to get 
back to the Stained Corridor.  Go through the Barred Hallway and the Projection 
Room to pick up the nightly HERBAL MEDICINE and TYPE 14 FILM respectively and 
make your back to the Stained Corridor beside the Grave Courtyard.

=-= Round Window Foyer =-=

Right before going into the Grave Courtyard, stand in the middle of the Round 
Window Foyer and aim your camera at the entrance to the Graveyard.  Move the 
camera up until you are aiming at the paper windows at the very top.  Snap a 
shot to reveal a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #6 Handmaiden (Hisame)).

=-= Stained Corridor =-=

Walk around the right side (west if you look at the map) and snap a pic of 
DISAPPEARING MAN.  Check the segment of the wall (across from the hand) that 
looks different from the rest twice to reveal a door.

=-= Sacrificial Pillar Room =-=

Take a pic of DETERMINED MAN to get rid of the doll sealing the door in the 
Garden Corridor.  Check the wooden part of the floor in the back to find a MAP 
WITH MARK and EQUIPMENT "SWITCH" w/file.  Leave the room.

=-= Stained Corridor =-=

Before leaving go through the small door on the east side of the room and grab 
the HERBAL MEDICINE.  If you want to try for something a little extra then go 
back to the Foyer right now.  Make sure your camera is upgraded well before 
doing this.  Otherwise, it's time to go back to the Garden Corridor after a few 
pickups.  You may also want to go back to the Room With Blind in the Stairs 
Hallway and grab the CALICO NOTEBOOK 2 from under the sheets surrounded with 
blinds.  A Kuze Family Head will attack after you grab the notebook.

=-= Partitioned Room (optional) =-=

(** You cannot do any of this if you did not take the pic that gave you the 
undeveloped photo of Yoshino on Hour VI in the Partitioned Room **)

Make sure you save your game in the Stairs Hallway 1F.  Take a pic of the 
DISTRESSED WOMAN through the sliding doors in the middle of the room.  She will 
only appear if you took a pic of the glowing area on your last night with Rei.

=-= Foyer (optional) =-=

Ready the camera with your most powerful film and equip it as you go down the 
main hall and Stroller Grandma will charge you with her stroller.  Wait for 
shutter chances as she dashes toward you.  If she gets past you, run to the 
other end of the hall and wait for her to charge toward you again.  If she 
manages to kill you then she will disappear and you will not get anything even 
if you have a Stone Mirror.  When you beat her, she will leave you with the 
"NOTCHED ARROW" KEY.  Unlock the barred area near the exit and enter the next 
room.

=-= Secret Passage (optional) =-=

Walk down the passage.  There will be a STONE MIRROR near the door at the end.

=-= Partitioned Room (optional) =-=

Walk up to Yoshino and she will attack.  Just like the other Female Survivor 
ghosts, focus all your attention on Yoshino and take her out quickly so the 
shadows will quit respawning.  She will leave you with YOSHINO'S PHOTO and 
EQUIPMENT "MEASURE" w/file.

=-= Hall With Tatami =-=

Get the nightly TYPE 14 FILM from the area with the two Kimono's and enter the 
Rope Hallway and go back to the Rope Palace.  

=-= Rope Palace =-=

Take a pic of the stone platform in the middle for an undeveloped photo.  Make 
your way back to the Rope Hallway, but be sure to save in the Foyer.  There is 
a ghost coming up that can be easily missed if you're not ready.

(You must take a pic of the platform in the Rope Palace to make the ghost in 
the Rope Hallway appear.)

=-= Rope Hallway =-=

As you walk down the hall, enter finder view and aim toward the small window 
near the ceiling in the back.  Once you reach midways snap a shot of FALLING 
WOMAN, who will fall directly from above.  After she falls she will attack.  
After defeating the Rope Priestess, walk over to the Great Hall and enter the 
Futon Room at the end.

=-= Futon Room =-=

Hmmm, someone appears to be trapped in the closet.  Open the door and quickly 
take a snap of TRAPPED WOMAN.  You'll have to be quick!  Crawling Woman is even 
worse with more space than she is in a closed area.  Keep your camera aimed 
down toward the floor and take a pic of her as she dashes toward you.  She will 
leave you with an undeveloped photo.  Go back through the Rope Hallway and 
enter the Blind Room through the Hall with Tatami.

=-= Blind Room =-=

The blind is now open.  Grab the CALICO NOTEBOOK 1 and the UPGRADED LENS "ZERO" 
w/file from the desk.  The nightly HERBAL MEDICINE is also behind the folding 
screens on the side.  Go back to the Bell Hallway and make your way back to the 
Garden Corridor.

A Hidden Face Man will be waiting at the tree as you enter.  Dispose of him as 
you did the other one earlier.  Save your game and open the double doors.

When you reach the bottom of the steps, point your camera straight ahead and 
take a pic of the WOMAN AT SHRINE duo.  Walk straight ahead and...

Develop that film if you took those pics that I told you to and go downstairs 
and answer the phone...twice.

the photos that you developed from the previous night.  Check the bookcase in

SLEEP book.  Save your game in Rei's Room and fall asleep as usual.

top.  Check the closet at the top for a HERBAL MEDICINE.

The room has changed a bit eh?  Walk to the side of the kimono row and take a 
pic of CRYING WOMAN near the mirror stand.  Walk up to the mirror stand and a 
Woman Brushing ghost will attack.  Try to wait for shutter chances as she 
dashes toward you, then let her have it with a shot of Type 14.  She will leave 
you with a DIANTHUS KEY.  Exit the Kimono Room and step into the Closet 
Hallway.

(** If you decide to leave the room without defeating the Woman Brushing ghost 
then you will forfeit the Dianthus Key.  She will not appear when you reenter 
the Kimono Room.  The Dianthus Key is not required to finish the game or to get 
the alternate ending. **)

=-= Closet Hallway =-=

Go downstairs and use the Dianthus Key on the small door at the bottom.

=-= Well Room =-=

Take a pic of the well for an undeveloped photo and grab the STONE MIRROR if 
you need it.

Move the dresser that is blocking the door in the back and walk across the roof 
outside to the next door.

=-= Closed Tamami Room (2nd playthrough) =-=

Grab the PURPLE DIARY 4 from the ground and take a pic of CRYING WOMAN in the 
back of you.  There is some TYPE ZERO FILM in the dresser.  Stand on the 
cushion next to the mirror stand and aim down at the mirror stand to take a pic 
of a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #2 KYOKA KUZE).  Open the wooden panel on the 
floor and climb down into the Hearth Room.

=-= Hearth Room (2nd playthrough) =-=

Defeat the Woman Brushing ghost and she will leave you with a HOLLY KEY and 
UPGRADED LENS "PIERCE".  Travel back to the Kimono Room.

=-= Kimono Room (2nd playthrough) =-=

Open the drawer of the mirror stand with the Holly Key to find LEGEND OF SONG 3 
file, KEI LOOKALIKE photo, and KYOKA'S EARRING.  Exit the room and go to the 
Garden Corridor.

=-= Garden Corridor =-=

Walk around the left side and snap a quick shot of CORRIDOR WOMAN as she crawls 
under the floor below.  You will have to stand right next to the railing to get 
this shot.  Save your game.  You might want to use this chance to go pick up 
some of the nightly items in the rooms surrounding the Bell Hallway.  When 
you're ready, enter through the double doors to go to the Shrine Courtyard.

=-= Shrine Courtyard =-=

You will get a file on THE PURIFYING LIGHT.  In short, for the rest of the 
game, you will now have to find purifying light pickups to keep the screen from 
changing to a monochrome color.  While it is monochrome, more dangerous ghost 
will pop up (aka. The Tattooed Priestess will appear in many rooms).

Walk over to the grave surrounded by a fence on the left and stand in front of 
it.  Aim at the grave to take a pic of a secret ghost (Secret Ghost #25 
BURDENED MAN).  On the other side of the fenced grave, there is some TYPE ZERO 
FILM lying on the ground.  On the right side is some HERBAL MEDICINE.  Walk 
over to the collapsed building on the right and stand where the gauge at the 
bottom glows.  Take a pic of the wreckage on the right for a hidden ghost 
(Secret Ghost #24 BATTERED MAN).  As you walk under the shrine gate in the 
middle path take a snapshot of MAN ON ROOF as he walks by above.  Let the 
camera autotracking find him for you once he appears above.  Check the ground 
at the right side of the stairs that lead up to the door on the west side of 
the Shrine Courtyard to find some SACRED WATER.  The middle door is locked so 
unbar the door on the west side and enter it.

=-= Book Storeroom =-=

Go to the right side of the wreckage and snap a quick pic of the PEERING GIRL, 
up above, when she shows up.  Kei will notice an item.  Run and grab it (the 
PINWEEL KEY).  Climb up the stairs and go through the door in the back.

Follow the Crimson Butterfly that appears down the hall in the Hearth Room.

As you walk up the steps 2ND FLOOR TWINS will appear upstairs.  Follow the 
twins into their room.  DO NOT go into the Kimono Room and try to save - the 
Tattooed Priestess is in there.

=-= Twins' Room =-=  

TWINS' CEREMONY will appear in the middle of the room.  The bars are now open 
so walk up to the door in the back.  I could have sworn that figure on the 
chest wasn't there just a few seconds ago!?  When the figure on the chest 
appears, stand directly in front of him and take a pic of his body to reveal a 
secret ghost (Secret Ghost #18 BINDING MAN).  When you reach the door you will 
need to solve a pinwheel puzzle in order to unlock the door to the side.  See 
solution below.
