follow them through a door. Head up the curving staircase to the top where a
scene occurs. You'll reach a fork, take the left path which leads to a chest
containing 'Mana Leaf' at the bottom. On the right path you'll receive a 'Hit
Area Expand' from the chest. Continue East to trigger another scene, you'll
obtain 'Attack Boost.' Run up the next set of stairs until you reach a
glowing panel in the floor, before examining it grab the chest to the East

| Tent................._____ | standing at another fork. The left path has a
| | hidden 'Hit Area Expand.' Proceed North to
o----------------------------o the next screen, across the bridge you'll find
a small village. The man standing beside the
bridge will heal your HP & MP fully if you speak to him. On the opposite side
of the path beside some barrels you can find a 'Talisman of Luck.' To the
East beside the healing man is a secret path leading to a 'Strike Expand.'
Continue forward and you'll be caught by little wire traps on the ground,
which trigger battles when you touch them, after the first one Nicolai will
stop to talk with you. Just East from there between the two houses is a chest
with a 'Tent' inside. Follow the path to the next screen. Avoid the trap by
going around the well to the right, but check the Southwest area where the
guard is standing to find a chest with 'Thera Seed' inside. As you approach
the North exit to this area, you can see on your map there's a path leading
through a trap to a chest containing a 'Pure Leaf.' In the next area you'll
find a save point. Once your game is saved approach the church. Get ready
for a lengthy scene.

o------ Item Checklist ------o When the scene ends speak to Gepetto, he'll
| | give you three crests, Focalor, Andras and

| Barbatos............._____ | Follow this path until you come to another

| Leather Cap.........._____ | chest with 'Mana Leaf' inside. Take a few
| Pure Leaf............_____ | steps back down and follow the right path to
| Soul Benediction....._____ | yet another fork. Go left, on the way you'll
| Thera Leaf..........._____ | find a large hole in the wall with a chest
| Soul Benediction....._____ | sitting inside, it contains 'Battery.' Just
| | North of this chest you'll find a hard to see
o----------------------------o path leading East, it's barely indicated on
your map, take it. Ignore the path split,
when you cross the bridge you'll find a treasure box with 'Barbatos' directly
below you. Return all the way West until you hit a wall and continue North.
On the next screen you'll find a chest right away which contains 'Pure Leaf.'
Walk along the path around the side of the cliff until you come to an
elevator. If you examine the note on the side you'll receive a 'Soul
Benediction.' Step on the elevator and try it out, when it doesn't work try
the Battery. Take the elevator down, and then try the panel again, this time
use "Power Operation." Now you can ride it to the top level. You can find a
'Tent' and a 'Leather Cap' up here. At this point you have two options, you
can go down to the bottom and save, then continue to the boss, or you can
return to the forest and take a different path to the boss, which will result
in getting a number of treasures on the other path, the choice is up to you.

If you choose to return go all the way back to the very beginning, which can
easily be found simply by going South at every junction. The save point makes
a good reference point, so save your game and go West. This time take the
right (North) path at the fork. Along the path you'll come to three more
branches, go left (North), left (North) and left (West) respectively.
Assuming you've followed this you'll be standing directly in front of a chest
with 'Thera Leaf' inside. Now head East as far as you can ignoring all other
paths. You'll come to an area with a lake in the background, when the path
beside this lake curves North there is a hidden path that goes East you cannot
see on your radar. Down this path lies a hidden 'Hit Area Expand.' Return to
the lake and head North until you reach a fork, go left and open the chest
containing 'Soul Benediction.' The right path leads you to a bridge which you
must cross. In order to do so you must push the levers in the right order.
The correct order is a simple top to bottom order, right-hand lever, middle
lever, left-hand lever. Along the bridge an action icon will appear over your
head, press X to find a 'Hit Area Expand.' Heal your characters and save your
game before running to the next area.

You'll soon find yourself in the graveyard where you must choose a fusion for
Yuri. The best fusion you can choose at this point in the game is the Earth
Fusion. This is located through the East door, then the South door, the crest
on the outside is green coloured. For whichever crest you choose, select to
hold your hand up to it. You'll receive an item based on whichever you chose,
the 'Vastitas Soul' if you chose Earth. When you attempt to leave you'll
trigger a scene.

You should be able to upgrade everyone's weapon except for Karin so make sure
that you do. Go as far West as you can (without going back down the stairs)
and you'll find a 'P-Defend Down 1' near the doors. Head North and examine
the second streetlight beside a mother and her child to find a 'Thera Leaf.'
At the end of the road you'll see a man standing outside a building marked as
the Hotel, this is the one you've been looking for so go inside. There's a
save point here and a treasure box just above it with 'Haures' inside. Go up
the stairs and make a right at the top, enter the second door and get the
chest before speaking with the man there. The chest contains a 'Tent.' Speak
to the man to trigger an event. Now leave the hotel and return down into the
subway tunnel, the man who is guarding the stairs will allow you to pass if
you speak with him. Follow the tracks until a scene occurs, and your map
appears.

Begin by going North but you'll soon realize there is a train car blocking
your path. Follow the other set of tracks Northwest. You'll come to a 3-way
split quite quickly. At this point there is a treasure chest on your lower
right which contains 'Strike Expand.' The path you want to take is the left
most of the three. At the next split you'll find a 'Pure Leaf' up against
some baords of wood in a corner. Follow the path on the right to the North.
At the top you'll meet another sould who entrusts you with the 'Attack
Boost.' Go West from this area through a tunnel, at the end you'll find some
more subway tracks that lead South to a 'Sp-Defend Down 1' and North to a save
point and a switch right beside it. Choose to flip the switch and you'll see
a train car has moved. Run all the way back to the 3-way path fork. This
time take the far right path.

When you come to a fork take the left (North) branch. Open the chest to
receive 'Pocket Watch.' Return to the fork and head East. As you proceed
down the next tunnel you'll pass an opening on your left, follow it to another
set of tracks. Go up, then left, then all the way up to find a chest
containing 'Phoenix Tail.' Go down and take yet another path to the left,
head North at the next set of tracks and open the chest to receive a 'Talisman
of Luck.' From here you need to return all the way back as far East as you
can go before you hit a wall and can't go East any further, this is the path
you were originally on. At this point head North and take the next opening on
your left. When you reach the next train tunnel follow it North, at the end
there's a chest with the crest 'Amy.' Back down a little follow the East path
you went by just a second ago. It will lead you out of the subway tunnels.
Examine the ladder to climb up.

Talk to the people in this area, down the stairs you'll find a save point.
Speak to the man in the shop and immediately he'll hand over the 'Fuse.'
Speak to him again to take a look at his wares.

Unfortunately at this point you need to return to the subway tunnels and run
all the way back to the very beginning, which shouldn't take nearly as long as
it took to collect everything. As soon as you arrive you'll automatically be
thrown into a battle with some normal enemies. Approach the train car on the
right and plug in the fuse, when it moves you'll gain access to a save point
which would really be worth using. Head North for a scene.

'Wool Coat' and a 'Tent' in the barrel beside it. When you return and try and
go Southwest and man will stop you, he is a Lottery Member and as long as you
have a Lottery Ticket you can play. The best item you can win from this one
is the Bathin by hitting the ring in the red area. Go past him and head
toward the large house, on the right in the little area behind the wall you
can find a 'Hit Area Expand' in the pile of boxes. Enter the door right
beside these boxes and open the chest to receive a 'Star Brooch.' On the left
side there is a hidden 'Strike Expand' on the ground. Leave small room and
enter the mansion. If there is a man guarding your path it's because you
didn't speak to the two men near the save point.

After the conversation ends check out the head of the bear rug on the ground,
you'll receive a 'Lottery Ticket.' Go up the curved stairs and examine the
painting to find a 'Thera Leaf.' Once you are ready to proceed speak to the
man on the far right twice. Make your way to the Southern part of town, and
speak to the man beside the tree. Once you've done so on your way back a
small scene will occur before crossing the bridge. Heal your party and save,
then go up the path where the other patrollers went originally.

o----------------------------o take the first door you reach leading
East. When you come to a branch turn left
(North) and follow it to a quick scene. Follow this path until you come to a
room on the right. On the other side of the room hidden beside some barrels
is a chest containing 'Mana Seed.' In order to proceed through the door you
must first pull the switch on the wall to the right, followed by the next
switch which is located along the upper you can now access. Go back down and
through the door. Get the chest for a 'Lottery Ticket.' Exit this room and
the next one through the West doors. When you reach a fork choose the South
path, then the West path at the next intersection. Stay on this path and
enter the first room on your left. Directly below you is a chest with a
'Thera Seed' inside. Go up and around the obstacles to reach a hidden switch
under the walkway and pull it down. Now you can use the walkway to get the
the other side of the room. Get the chest here to receive 'Silver Bracelet.'
From here go East, then East, then North and you'll be back on the main path
again. Follow it until you find a metal door, through there you'll find a
save point.

Ascend the stairs and use the switch. This activates the stairs on the other
side of the room. Go up them and down the middle set to find yet another
switch on the wall which lowers the stairs on the right side of the room.
Across them on the other side you'll find a switch on the left of the main
door. This creates a path across the left wall but also raises one of the
staircases on the right to reveal a hidden door. Go back to the other side of
this room and through the door leading East that you can now access. In this
room pull the switch on the South wall. Go up the stairs you just activated
and pull the switch as you go across. Take the walkway on the North side and
pull the switch as you cross. Once again take the walkway on the South side
to the East end of the room and press the hidden switch under the South
walkway. Now the North walkway is accessible, when you go across it you'll
find a chest with a 'Pure Seed.' If you go across the South walkway and
through the door you'll find a chest containing 'Raum.' Backtrack through two
rooms and be sure to save your game. Now you can finally go through the door
to the North. Approach the familiar woman...

After the scene go back to the old lady's shop. She'll give you 'Solomon's
Key' out of her appreciation. If you remember that first wolf fight, another
one is now available. There is also a new minigame available. Information
contained in the next two paragraphs and the boss fight are entirely optional.

The Luck Chests game is simple, it's just a matching game. You have to choose
one chest and another, and if the items match you win them. You are allowed
one mistake, the second one ends the game. It's extremely easy cosidering
four of them are Thera Leaves, with this knowledge you should be able to win
the game at least 75% of the time as long as you don't forget what goes where.
Your reward for completing this game is the Stud Card 'Mr. Chef.'

The next wolf fight is located at the end of the wine cellar, where you most
recently fought the bosses. Approach the wolf and speak to it to initiate the
battle, select that you are ready.

a Lottery Member. Speak to her and see if you can win the 'Slow 1.'
Southward from here there is a man standing beside the stairs leading up, talk

the statue on the left has a hidden 'Strike Expand' inside it. Climb the

For defeating the boss Jaochim leans the Grand Slam attack himself. When you
are stronger you can come back later and challenge him once again. There are
two items in the arena area, one is in a chest on your left containing 'Seal

again by going West until you're back on the path that had the treasure chest
in the lower corner. Follow this path North and then go left (West) at the
fork. When you come to an elevator examine the notice on the wall to receive
a 'Lottery Ticket' then ride it straight down.

Get off the elevator and begin making your way down, when you do you'll once
again be interrupted by the Ring Soul who gives you an 'Attack Boost.' Follow
the tunnel West until you reach a point where you can go South, then do so and
ride the elevator down. Save your game then enter the small storage room to
find a 'Lantern.' Now you need to go back up the elevator. Head North but go
right at the branch, the way you came originally. When you come to a North
branch take it and go all the way to the end using your newly acquired
lantern. You'll find 'Seal of Speed' in the room. Go back down and head West
this time, ignoring any other paths until you reach a wall. Choose the right
(North) path at this point. Soon enough you'll come to another, go left and
open the chest on the ledge to receive a 'Fine Rapier.' Return to the most
recent fork and start going South, go South as far as you possibly can,
eventually it will curve and you'll find a 'Pure Seed' in the small rocks.
From here go up and make a left at the fork. Soon you'll come to a small
alcove with a wheelbarrow, just keep moving North. Go right (North) at the
next fork as well. At the fork after that one, take the right (East) path, it
will lead you to a Lottery Member, the best item he holds is the 'Third Key.'

From the Lottery Member return to the most recent fork and head North. At the
next one branch left (West) and follow it until you come to a 4-way split.
The West path leads to a 'Studded Belt,' the North path leads to a shop and
the South path leads to a save point, and your destination.

Now that you have the key you are able to go up the West set of stairs and get
through the locked door. Ignore the object in the centre of the room and exit
through the door at the top. Similar to the last one, the room on the left
has a chest containing 'Sagittarius Tile,' 'Pisces Tile,' and 'Scorpio Tile.'
Leave the room and go North. I'll give you the answer to the puzzle in the
next sentence so stop reading here if you wish to try it out. The person you
need to choose is Gepetto. Approach the door and examine it, then choose him.
Inside grab the two chests containing 'Gemini Tile,' 'Leo Tile,' Cancer
Tile,' and 'Petrify 1.' Once again go back and save your game.

Enter the door and watch the scene, then open the chest to receive 'Virgo
Tile,' 'Aquarius Tile,' and 'Taurus Tile.' Approach the door and fit the
tiles, you may fit them according to the poems that appear, however if you
have trouble the answer is as follows:

Left Door: Middle Door (Left) Middle Door (Right) Right Door:
 - Gemini - Taurus - Scorpio - Virgo
 - Sagittarius - Capricorn - Cancer - Aquarius
 - Leo - Aries - Pisces - Libra

The order you set of the tiles is also important. For the left and right
doors that refers to the order from left to right, for the middle door the
order is top to bottom. Each time you set your tiles in a door it will tell
you that you unlocked it if you are correct. Both the middle and right doors
lead to the same area, so start by taking the left door. There's a chest at
the end containing 'Fifth Key.' When you return to the previous room be sure
to take the middle door as it contains a chest with a 'Thera Seed' along the
way. Immediately when you go through the upper door check the flower pot on
your left to receive 'Feather Bracelet.' Use the nearby save point before
going any further. Go through the door and watch the scene.

It will open up that dead end hallway you
passed when you rode the clock platform. Go back and head North down the hall
to find a door. Inside the room head South and open the chest beside the
table containing 'Thera Root.' In between the bookshelves on your right,
around the middle of the room you'll find the password written on the floor in
a corner. Before leaving be sure to find the 'Lottery Ticket' on one of the
bookshelves in the Southeast corner. In order to open the next path you need
to return to the hidden lab and examine the same switch again, now that you
have the password it opens up the path leading South. Follow the path and go
through the door. In this room you'll find a chest at the Northwest corner
containing 'Hit Area Expand.' Examine the bookshelf at the Northeast corner
to find a hidden switch which reveals a path. Navigate between the shelves
and descend the secret staircase.

At the Northwest corner you'll find a chest containing a 'Toggle Switch' and a
'Seal of the Urn' in the barrel directly left of it. Take a few steps down
and then left to reveal another chest with 'Strongoids' inside. With the
Toggle Switch in hand return once again to the secret lab on 2F. Examine the
odd looking device at the top of the room to activate it. The clock elevator
is now available to take your to 3F. One of the urns on the South wall
contains a 'Talisman of Mercy' if you examine it. Enter the East door and
save your game in the next hall. Go through thr North door and head West.

| Getitup!............._____ | treasure chest on your right which contains a

| Mana Extract........._____ | your last rode, and take the one on the far
| | West side this time. Step onto the North
o----------------------------o block (not the one your just rode) open the
chest to receive 'Talisman of Luck' and then
                                step onto the red panel.

The next puzzle is a bit more challenging. There's a triangular button on the
right, examine it and choose to push it. Step onto the golden block that just
changed colour. The golden platform to the Southeast will carry you over to
another chest, which contains 'Hit Area Expand' as well as a switch on the
wall. Press the switch. Once you're back in the centre of the room, run to
the far West golden platform, it will take you to a chest containing 'Thera
Seed.' Use the South platform to take you back. In the centre again ride the
Southwest blue platform, it will take you to a an area with two gold blocks.
Ride the West one and press the switch, then return on the same block. A few
steps to the right, ride the blue platform and you'll reach the next red panel
to descend.

A slightly different set of blocks occupies this area, magic walkways cover
the area you can use to move between platforms. Follow the path and make a
right (East) at the fork. Hit the button and the paths will change their
direction. Proceed North, grab the chest containing 'Seal of Vitality' and
then cross the pink bridge where'll you'll find another button to press.
You'll notice that the bridges are actually on different cycles, so if you
press the switch twice it will still be different than what it originally was.
In order to get across your need to hit the switch a total of three times.
The bridges should now be facing South and West respectively, cross over them
to find a chest which contains a 'Lottery Ticket.' In order to reach the exit
you need to press the pink switch two more times. The paths are now
connected. Follow them to the red elevator panel.

There's a save point here, I suggest you make good use of it. Step onto the
block and ride it South. Ride the next block down and hit the switch at the
bottom. Now ascend and head South, ride the only black at the end. At the
Northwest corner you'll find another switch which opens another path for you.
Run to the Southeast corner where the path opened and follow it. At the North
end of this area you'll find a chest with 'Leonardo's Bear' inside it. South
of here you'll find a blue platform to ride on the corner, take it to the top
and then ride the block that is above you to the East. Open the chest which
contains 'Phenex.' How follow carefully here, there is a hidden platform.
Ride the block back down from the Phenex chest and take a couple steps North,
then go West. Look on your map to see an L shape, this is where you want to
go. Do not take the block that is just South of that, and not hidden at all,
remember there are two blocks on the West side, you want the hidden one on the
L shaped area. Ride it down and then press the switch on the West wall again
to bring the yellow bricks back up. When you return to the top run North and
hit the switch. Go South and you'll find you can now cross the yellow block.
The chest down there contains 'Getitup!' Go back across the yellow block
bridge and step onto the blue platform on your left (West.) It will take you
up. From here all you need to do is step onto the final block to be brought
to the exit.

In the next area go North and watch the scene. Proceed through the door and
step onto the coloured platform. This puzzle is similar to the one with the
bridge in the forest, you must press the colours in a specific way in order to
connect the stairs completely. The simplest way to do this is to hit Blue
followed by Green followed by Blue. Ascend the stairs and onto a more
complicated version of the previous puzzle. Ignore the first panel for now
and head across the path leading West. The complete this you must hit Blue,
Blue, Blue, Yellow, Yellow, Red, Red. It will lead you to a chest containing
'Berith.' Return to the first panel and press them in the following order:
Green, Green, Yellow. In the next room you'll find a save point, as well as a
convenient shop. It's a good idea to pick up a couple Leonardo's Bears.

to the North. There's quite a few guards in this area, also a number of
branches to watch out for. Your destination is the North door, and the North
door in the next room. Your reward for not getting caught is the 'Zodiac
Bracelet' however the prize is certainly not worth the effort, especially
since they are not rare. Soon enough you'll find yourself before a boss.

o----------------------------------------------------------------------------o

Go North and down the stairs to trigger a scene. On your left is a chest
containing an item or weapon depending on what you did during the torture
scene, beside it hidden in the boxes is an SP-Defend Down 2. Use the
magically appearing save point and climb the spiral stairs. At the top there
is a treasure chest to get on the right side of the room containing 'Strike
Expand.' In the mddle of the room there is a hidden 'Wheel of Fortune' is you
press X a number of times while standing on the chain. Now run South, and
South again. In this room you should be able to find the RIng Soul at the
upper right corner and get another 'Attack Boost.' Go South and you are
stopped by someone in the cell. Go all the way South and open the chest to
receive 'Tent.' Leave this room via the hall to the West. Climb up the
stairs you passed last time, in the room there's a chest containing your
reward depending on whether you were seen by the guards or not. Check the
desk now to find a 'Fountain Pen.' Down the West hall as you pass it the
camera will stop to focus on a barred door, head through this door leading
South. This is the area you came in originally. Go through the door on the
right, the Northwest-most prison cell has a Lottery Member inside. Try and
win the 'Slow 2' item from him. The room on the left of the hallway which
contained nothing but junk before is now home to the 'Adhesive' you need.
Leave the room and go back through the gate to the North, then head West.

If you keep going West you'll eventually reach a chest containing 'Bifrons.'
You need to reach the crack you entered as Blanca, which is located at the
Southwest corner. To reach it follow the hallway up and around. Examining
the crack allows you to send Blanca alone, when you approach the wolf you will
receive the 'Bent Wire.' You've done quite a bit so I recommend saving your
game before going back. Go down the stairs and open the chest at the bottom
which contains 'Daphne Fruit.' Go through the door on the right and examine
the iron maiden to receive a 'Seal of Strength.' In the next room you'll find
a chest on the upper walkway containing 'Pure Root.' Before leaving the room
be sure to examine the conspicuous pipe on the floor to receive 'Earthen
Pipe.' Leave through the East door.

At the top of the stairs you'll find yourself back among the prisoners again.
Exit to the West and go through the North gate. Head East through the door,
then go North to find the locksmith's cell once again. Talk to him and give
him the parts to receive the 'Handmade Key' as well as 'Nibelung Scene 2.'
The area to use this key is located West of here, West through the next hall
and then North through through the last room with the crack in the wall. Save
your game and go through the North door. Before the main course you'll have
to fight a total of eighteen enemeis split between three fights.

After the battle there's a scene, and a cool little throwback to the first
Shadow Hearts. From the world map select Cannes. After the scene leave the
bar and talk to the man on the right, the one who gave you the treasure quest.
The item you found by examining the chain in the prison was the treasure he
sent you after. Now he'll give you the next quest, the item 'Treasure:
Love.' Climb the stairs and leave Cannes, your destination is Roger Bacon's
home in Wales. Speak to Roger and then examine the wall he speaks of, which
is found by going over to the East wall and then South underneath the stairs.
Return and ride the elevator, head South then West and watch the scene. Back
on the world map again, Petrograd is your next stop.

Follow the man South to the next area, at the very bottom corner of the street
you'll find a chest which contains 'P-Defend Down 2.' If you examine the
upper corner where the road meets the bridge you will pick up a 'Strike

have to fight a rather weak enemy, before you kill it have Anastasia use her
snapshot ability. After the battle and the next scene, go behind Edgar's
counter and steal his 'Lottery Ticket.' On your way to the palace when you go
West at the fork the old man standing on the street now gives you the

Approach the palace and go inside to start another event. Ignore the stairs
and go through the door in front of you. There's a 'Lottery Ticket' hidden in
the upper flower pot in this hall. Inside the room just past the plant you'll
find a chest with an 'Espada' in the Northeast corner. Return to the save
point, you can find the next Lottery Member by going upstairs and into the
door on the right, then into the second door on your right. The maid nearest
to the treasure chest will let you play the lottery. See if you can win the
'Prism Band' from her. Leave the room and save. Head North through the door,
you'll notice the room to the West is no longer guarded. Enter it and go
through the central door for a scene. In the queen's room through the doors
past her throne, you'll find a 'Circlet' just above her bed. Return to the
West hall and enter Anastasia's room for yet another event. Form your party
and save your game, you can pick up some equipment from the conveniently
placed dealers, but there's nothing new in their inventory. Leave her room
and go back downstairs, head North down the hall through the North door that
was previously blocked. Enter the door between the two large staircases and
open the chest at the upper left to receive 'Eligos.' Climb one of the large
sets of stairs and follow the walkway on the left, it leads to a chest
containing 'Bell Bracelet.' Head East and follow the right walkway through a

Continue North around the corner, at the upper right you'll run into the Ring
Soul who gives you another 'Attack Boost.' South of this you'll find the
'Leraje' in a treasure chest. Now follow carefully, go up, left, down, left
and up. At the top of this path you're on you can find 'The Magician' lying
on the ground. Head West to find another item, 'Leonardo's Bear.' Take the
South path and save your game in the next room. At the very Southwest corner
of the coffin room you'll find 'Andromalius' on the ground. Run North and
then East and pull the "A" switch. Return to the save point and go South,
then West at the fork, at the end of this path there's a chest against the
wall which has 'Seal 2' in it. Down the path there's also a 'Talisman of

At the 4-way split make your way West. Along the path examine the metal gate
to receive 'Strongoids.' Keep going along the path and head North at the fork
to find a chest containing 'Plastron' and a "B" switch on the wall. Proceed
South to the most recent fork and head East. Pull the "P" lever as you go
past the recently opened gate. You'll reach the 4-way split once again here,
pull the "b" switch located to the South. Now go back to fork just below the
coffin room, head South and save your game. Run East, then South at the fork
to find the 'Silver Locket' shining on the skeleton. Return to the coffin
room and examine the coffin on the left in the centre, choose to give back the
locket. To finally exit this place, head North until you reach a fork, then
