A. Story
This is taken from the LOTR: TT game manual.
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in darkness bind them. It began with the forging of the great rings. Three were given to the elves- immortal, wisest, and fairest of all beings. Seven to the dwarf lords- great miners and craftsmen of the mountain halls. And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of men, who, above all else, desire power. For within these rings was bound the strength and will to govern each race. But they were all of them deceived. For another ring was made. In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, and the Dark Lord Sauron forged, in secret, a master ring to control all others. And into this ring he poured his cruelty, his malice, and his will to dominate all life.
The One Ring an innocent-looking golden band is by far the most powerful object in all of Middle-Earth. Put it on, and the wearer becomes completely invisible. Using its powers of invisibility draws the attention of the Dark Lord Sauron, who may disperse sinister creatures to retrieve The One Ring. The One Ring has a strange corruptive influence, causing greed and power lust in many who are exposed to it. Possessing The One Ring can prolong the life of its keeper, but corruption from The One Ring will eventually transform a normal hobbit into a selfish, hideous monster. The One Ring was forged thousands of years ago by Sauron in the fires of Mount Doom. He was close to using The One Ring's full powers to dominate Middle-Earth when it was cut from his hand in battle. Sauron has been trying to reclaim The One Ring ever since losing it, and if he does, Middle Earth will be plunged into darkness and sorrow. To prevent Sauron from possessing The One Ring, it must be destroyed forever, and this can be accomplished only by throwing it back into the fiery chasm of Mount Doom. Frodo shows a remarkable resistance to The One Ring's evil influence so he volunteers to carry it on the perilous journey to Mount Doom.

II. Characters
These descriptions of the characters are taken right from the LORT:TT game manual and show the three playable characters, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli.
---------
Aragorn
---------
Men are weak, or at least this is the commonly held belief in Middle Earth. Three thousand years ago, Isildur, King of the Men of Gondor, gained great renown when he cut the One Ring from the hand of Sauron, ending his villainous reign. Soon after, however, he chose not to destroy The One Ring when he had a chance to cast it into the fires of Mount Doom, and thus Men are known to be weak in character and not entirely trustworthy.
Aragorn can change all of that. He is a ranger, a strong man skilled in the use of many weapons including swords. Aragorn is trained to survive in every situation. Many know him as Strider, but few are aware of his true identity as son of Arathorn and heir to Isildur's throne. He is the rightful King of Gondor, and a force to be reckoned with.
---------
Legolas
---------
Legolas is a noble Elven prince, deadly accurate with his Elven bow and knowledgeable in wilderness lore. Because he is an elf, Legolas has exceptional sight and hearing, and although he will never die of old age, he can be hurt or killed in battle. Legolas is kind and graceful, and he has a deep love for the peaceful side of nature. He and his valuable bow attack are great assets to the Fellowship.
-------
Gimli
-------
Gimli is a stubborn dwarf who makes up for his lack of height and grace with great strength, bravery, and tenacity. Gimli fears nothing when he has his trusty axe in hand, and his temper makes him formidable when angry. His gruff disposition keeps him from making friends easily, but as a member of the Fellowship he is a tough and loyal ally. Gimli especially dislikes elves; however during his adventures with the Fellowship he develops an unlikely friendship with Legolas. Gimli is very proud of his heritage, and looks forward to seeing his cousin Balin in the Mines of Moria.

V. Walkthrough
OK, now that I?m done with all of the upgrades and stats, here is the actual walkthrough. I will guide you through each level, telling where major health bottles are, and how to dispatch your enemies, and all that other important stuff. Now, onto the walkthrough.

- Prologue
The game opens up with actual footage from the movie Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Enjoy this movie because it is the beginning of a very fun video game. As soon as the movie ends you are thrown into battle. The first battle you get to play as Isildur.
At the top right corner of the screen you are given commands on what buttons to hit according to whom and how you?re fighting the enemy. You are given the Square command to defend when an enemy is attacking you, the X button for a speed attack which is useful against shield less enemies. And then you are given the Triangle command to use a fierce attack which is useful to knock down enemies or break their shields. Every time you kill an enemy you receive a rank, either fair, good, excellent, or perfect.
While your fighting watch out for the fireball that drops from the sky near the lava river. Just use these key commands to kill as many enemies as you can. Then you will see another movie and the mission is over. It's nearly impossible to die in this battle but if you do don't give up keep on trying.
After the fight you are given an overall rank for how successfully you executed your attacks.

Weathertop
A movie opens up this scenario, now you are controlling Aragorn a ranger/man who uses a sword and bow. Keep in mind the basic moves that you learned in the last mission. Your main objective is to protect Frodo, the Ring-bearer, from the Ringwraiths who will stop at nothing to find The One Ring.
When you finally gain control of Aragorn he holds a lit torch which is the only thing that will hurt the Ringwraiths. The first Ringwraith will be around you somewhere, use Triangle to light it on fire then immediately after hit Square or R1 to block the Ringwraiths counter attack. If your torch happens to go out then run next to the fire and hit Triangle to relight your torch. NOTE- You can only hurt the Ringwraiths with a lit torch. Line yourself back up and then hit Triangle again and Square or R1 to parry the counterattack. (I prefer using R1 for some reason, it is just easier to hit so from now on for parry I will refer to it as R1) After repeating the Triangle then R 1 strategy it will finally die, then a few others come and attack you. Relight your torch if needed and use the Triangle R1 procedure for both of them until they die.
Then there is a cutscene where Frodo puts on the Ring and now is when you actually have to protect Frodo. Never leave a Ringwraith alone with Frodo, and if your torch goes out make sure you relight it very quickly. After killing a few more there is a cutscene where Frodo gets stabbed by a Ringwraith. Then you have to finally kill the last few and the mission is done. There is a clip from the actual movie about the forming of the fellowship and then you get your rank status, and you can now upgrade your characters.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Gates of Moria
OK, this is the first level where you get to choose your character. If you pick Legolas, Gimli is your partner, same if you pick Aragorn. If you pick Gimli, Aragorn is your partner. Alright, you start out going forward to clear a path for the rest of the Fellowship on the way to Moria. You run down a narrow Cliffside path, and meet three or four goblins coming down a hill. Use your triple strike to take them out, and you can also kick them with O when they are close to a ledge in order to knock them off and get a much better Excellent rating. Continue on, and the wall on your right breaks open to admit some goblins, which you can cut up with triple strike, then it occurs again a few steps further. Continue on once you have dispatched these foes, and a cool cutscene comes up in which Aragorn or Legolas puts an arrow between the eyes of a goblin sneaking up behind Gimli.
Next you face four goblins on foot, and three goblin archers on little cliffs above. Chop up the goblins on the ground, then shoot down the goblin archers, parrying their arrows with R1and shooting them in a steady procession, until they are dead. Run on and another cutscene comes up in which Gimli says how they should take the path through the Mines of Moria to continue their quest. Aragorn or Legolas then blocks some arrows coming from goblin archers on the cliffs above. Afterwards, a goblin runs towards you. Kill him, then take out the four archers above, parrying their arrows when they come at you. Continue on across the narrow bridge of rock, and some goblins will spring out over the cliff to your left. Two will come three times. Kill them with triple strike or kick them over the ledge, and continue. If you are short on arrows, there is a box to your right once you enter the narrow path between two walls, which should replenish your supply. Goblins will then ambush you, breaking out of the walls on each side. There are about five of them. When they are dead, continue up the hill. Four or five more goblins will come after you, and there will be two archers over the rise ahead. Cut up the goblins, then kill the two archers with arrows or hack them up to continue. Go up another rising hill, and some more goblins will pour down, about three. Kill them, and there are two archers ahead. One on the rock on your right, and another blocking your path. Take out the one out of reach with your arrows/axes, then hack through the other to continue.
Now you are in the last stage of the level. Proceed into a swampy area. After a bit, two goblins spring up out of the water. Dispatch them and continue, then you are met by two more. After they are dead, you come to an opening that?s infested with goblins. Avoid the arrows from the archers on the cliff above, and take out the four goblins that drop from the surrounding rock walls. Then take out the four archers that are firing a steady stream of arrows at you from the cliffs, and the other that is on the ground. You will be ambushed by two more goblins. Kill them, and continue on to face your first boss.
Boss Battle- The Watcher
The Watcher will spring up out of the water in front, and smack Gimli/Aragorn, knocking them out for the course of the battle. When one of the tentacles comes at you, block it, then go up while it is wavering in the air in front of you, and cut it off. The Watcher brings up his head, which you can it shoot with arrows/axes. Keep blocking his tentacles, cutting them off, then shooting the Watcher?s exposed head, and you will eventually win. Gimli/Aragorn regains consciousness (thanks for the help buddy) and the rest of the Fellowship walks up safely, and the mission is complete.

Balin?s Tomb
I highly suggest purchasing Swift Terror for this level, as it will get you into Perfect mode a lot. And also, use the character you used last time, so you don?t have a level one character fighting, which would not be to your advantage. Anyway, the level starts with a clip from the movie, then you get to participate in the action. Goblins will continually pour in from the large doorway at the head of the room. I myself like to stand right up to the doorway and kill anything that come through with Swift Terror, which racks up your Perfect meter, allowing you to get Perfect kills in one hit. Watch out for the shielded opponents, as they get annoying, Use fierce attack to destroy their shields, then hack them up. After a while of fighting the goblins, the boss of this level will appear, the cave troll.
Boss Battle- Cave Troll
The cave troll will chase you around the room a bit. Make sure you don?t get smashed under its club, and steadily shoot it with arrows. If you purchased the charge up attack, where you hold triangle while your weapon charges, do it, and when the troll gets close, release triangle to deliver a deadly slash. This should take a good amount of health off of the cave troll. When his health bar gets low enough, a cutscene will then ensue, in which the troll breaks his club on a nearby pillar. He then whips out a chain and your character leaps up onto a pillared walk around the room.
The troll will try to slash you with his chain, so position yourself behind a pillar, so when he lashes out at you, the chain clashes with the pillar instead. From behind the pillar, fire arrows/axes at him. After about four hits, the pillar is demolished. Go to another pillar, and do the same. The occasional goblin will come at you. Kill it, then get back to the cave troll. If you run out of ranged weapons, there is a pickup to replenish your supply all the way to the right end of the high walk. After repeating the pillar process a few times, and avoiding getting hit, the troll should be dead. A cut scene ensues in which the troll falls and the Fellowship is standing around it. You have now successfully completed the mission.

Amon Hen
You start off this level with a scene between Aragorn and Frodo, in which Aragorn resists the temptation of The One Ring, and frantically tells Frodo to escape while he holds off the oncoming Uruk-Hai. Legolas and Gimli come up, and there?s a cutscene in which the three perform some pretty sweet moves. You then jump into the action, fighting in a Uruk-Hai filled field with your comrades. After all of them are slain, two more will come through the trees ahead, along with an archer. Take these out, and kill the archer with your ranged attack. You will then leave your two comrades behind and go forth down the path. Two Uruks will come out of the trees to the left of you, and two archers will emerge. One on top of the stone arch, and another in one of its gaps. Kill these and keep going on under the arch. Uruks will run down the hill to the left of you and start attacking. They will keep coming until you?ve killed about six or seven of them. Another thing about the level is that health bottles are very frequent so it?s very hard to die. Anyway, keep going and you will make it to a long path with two archers at the end of it, and one archer in the trees to the right. Kill them, while blocking their arrows every time they fire.
Continue on down the path and you will reach a small clearing. Three Uruks will come out at you. Kill them, and then two more should come. Kill them, and the archer on the rock, hidden off the screen, and then kill the single Uruk jumping out of the trees ahead of you. Down the path a ways, there are three archers who throw fire bombs and trap you in a small area with fire on either side. Kill these archers with your ranged attack and the fire should die, and then continue on down the path to the next area.
Next you should come to a bunch of ruins. An archer runs out in front of you. Kill him and the one Uruk who comes to attack, then break the vines in the ruined doorway and run in the small room to get some experience. Run back out and down the stairs, were two more Uruks will attack you. Kill them, and more will come out of the ruined doorways, along with two archers standing in the doorways. They will throw lots of fire bombs, so try to kill them quickly so you don?t have to worry about them when killing the many Uruks that come through the doorways on your right. But you can also keep them alive, and when they throw fire bombs, lure the attacking Uruks into the burning flame, which can help take them down quicker. After all of the Uruks are wasted, go down the path to find your two friends taking out two Uruks on the stone bridge. After they are dead join them and run across the stone bridge.
This is my personal favorite part, because it?s basically a huge slaughter. Uruks will close on in you from either side, and after a few moves are pulled off, you join the action as even more Uruks pour in. Use your Swift Terror to get into Perfect mode really, really quick. Then go to town with one hit kills. After all the Uruks are dead, hurry down the path off of the stone bridge and you come to face with the level?s boss.
Boss Battle- Lurtz
A cutscene will come up with Lurtz putting another arrow in Boromir. Ouch! But then you come to the rescue. Lurtz will start out shooting arrows at you. Block them, and when he stops, start shooting at him. When his health gets low enough, he?ll pick up a sword and come after you. Run from him, and position yourself behind one of the many statues. He will slash at you, and if you?re positioned right, his blade will become embedded in the statue. Go up and hack away at him. I use Swift Terror to get into Perfect mode. Then quickly get behind another statue and repeat the process, this time killing him in one hit. After he is dead, a clip from the movie comes on, showing Aragorn saying farewell to Boromir and paying his last respects, and you?ve beaten the level.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Fangorn Forest
Your trek through Fangorn starts with a cutscene of Legolas commenting on how old the forest is, and then it switches to graphics and Aragorn saying they should split up. Lead your character down the path, breaking the log in your way. When a huge hollowed out log with an opening comes into view, watch out, because goblins will drop from the trees behind you, and shielded orcs will appear in front of you. Deal with the goblins first, then hack up the shields of the orcs with triangle triangle and enter the large hollowed out log.
Now you meet a new enemy, called a berserker. These are probably the toughest units to kill, besides trolls. He?ll drop down behind you and start swinging like crazy. I suggest using War Rush to take him down. Or you can let yourself get knocked down, use rising attack on him, and when he?s on the ground, deliver the killing blow. Either method works fine. Continue down the path once the foe is dead.
Another cutscene comes up in which two goblins are thrown through the trees to the left of your character. You basically know something big and mighty is coming up after that. Turn left and you come face to face with a big, ugly troll. Run up to him real quick and before he manages to knock you silly, do your attack where you hold down triangle and charge it up as much as you can. You can?t wait for him to come to you, because forest trolls sit back and throw branches at you if you are too far away for them to bash. You can use the method stated above, or you can hit him with your fierce attack, and then run back while he smashes the area where you were, and then hit him again and run back. Keep doing this or try the other method and he?ll eventually be defeated. Get the reward of a health bottle that comes with killing him, and break through the fence in front of you and onto the next part of the level.
You come into a small orc camp with a bunch of orcs and goblins surrounding a pit with something ferocious inside of it. The orcs push the goblins in (haha, little bastards) and then watch them get mutilated. Start off by going up behind an orc, preferably a shielded one, because they are harder to kill, and kicking them into the pit. The others will attack you. Quickly charge up your weapon and release it unto them. Then go around to each one and waste them. The ones without shields need to be blocked carefully, because when they attack, it?s usually hard to defend, so make sure you block their swinging axes, before you hack them up. After all the orcs are dead, head on into the stream. You are met by one orc and two archers standing at the top of the waterfall. Kill the orc and kick both the archers down the waterfall to their deaths.
Follow the stream, and you will eventually be ambushed by two orcs popping up out of the water on either side of you. Every time you kill two, two more will burst up. This happens at least four times. When it?s done, continue following the stream until you come to a cave. Enter the cave, and a huge troll will break out of the wall behind you. Use the method mentioned earlier for killing him, then break go past his carcass and break open the chest that has some experience in it. Break through the fence at the other end, and into the next area.
After breaking the vines blocking your way out of the cave, a berserker will pop out of nowhere. Since he comes so suddenly, your War Rush probably won?t be much use if you want to kill him quickly. Let him knock you down, knock him down with rising attack, and kill him while he?s on the ground. Keep going and you will go around a corner to meet two orcs in your way, and an orc archer at the end of the path behind a log. Waste the two beasts, and then shoot the archer, break the log, and continue.
Now you come to a clearing. Goblins will drop from the unseen cliffs or trees above you. Take out the first three with Swift Terror, and when you get into Perfect mode, the rest that drop should be easy one hit kills. Your perfect mode will eventually go away, and after you kill then seemingly endless amounts of goblins go onto the final part of the level.
Boss Battle- Two Cave Trolls
A cut scene will open this boss battle. Goblins will be conversing in a small clearing, when two cave trolls jump into the fray and crush them. You then take control of your character. Break the vines to your right, and go through the opening. There is a chest there. Don?t break it open yet, because it holds a green potion bottle, which will give you all your health back. If your health is low, take it, but you need to save it for later if you get hurt while fighting the trolls.
Attack the first troll, and the other troll will sit back and watch the fight. Unless you accidentally slash the second troll, he won?t attack you until the first troll is killed. Use the troll killing method to take him out, using your hold down triangle attack, or your fierce attack, retreat, fierce attack, retreat method. After the first troll is dead, if you need health, then go back to the chest with the green bottle in it, if you haven?t used it already. Then do the same to the second troll. After the second troll is down, break open the chest next to the exit to get more experience. Then continue down the path and break the vines to end the level.

Plains of Rohan
You start off this level with your old buddy Gandalf, after a cutscene in which some Rohan soldiers blow the hell out of a wagon of explosives. You are at the entrance of a village, and are met by two armored Uruk-Hai, the first of these you meet. They pack a little more punch then normal Uruks, and usually requiring a finishing blow to kill them. When they jump out at you, block. Don?t try to hack at them while they are doing so, because they are invincible when they are jumping at you. Kill these two Uruks, and continue into the city.
A cutscene comes up, in which Gandalf blast back a bunch of Uruks with his magical powers. That leaves about four Uruks fighting the king?s guards. Help them, and after you?ve taken out all the Uruks, Gandalf will break open a door to a house in the middle of the square. Three villagers are trapped by a bunch of fire. Destroy all the obstacles in your way, and the water barrel sitting next to the flame to put it out. The villagers then run away (your welcome). After that, another cutscene comes up in which two villagers are being tormented by some Uruks, and a third is killed as he is thrown down to your level of the building. An Uruk springs through the doorway leading outside. Kill it, and then go around the counter to your left in the small room you are currently in, and grab some experience all the way at the end. Do this quickly, because you still have to save the peeps upstairs. Hurry upstairs and destroy all the obstacles blocking the stairway, which should then let the people, run away down them. There are two Uruks and an archer in this room. Take down the Uruks first and then shoot or hack up the archer blocking the doorway.
You will go down a narrow path through the village, and you will see a group of villagers running from a berserker. Kill the berserker using your War Rush. Destroy the barrel next to the fire on your right to put it out, allowing the geezer that is being held captive by the archers, to escape. Proceed up the rooftop and take out the two archers in the process.
Go up a ramp ahead of you, where a pile of wood set ablaze stands between a group of peasants and escape. Shoot the barrel above the flaming wood, further up the ramp, to put the fire out. Then destroy the wood with your fierce attack, allowing the peasants to escape. Once you reach the top of the ramp, two Uruks will come out of an entrance to your right. Kill them quickly, and avoid the flaming person coming out of the same entrance. Head into the building, which is burning, and meet another Uruk coming down the stairs. This dude is always fun to kill before he can do anything, because you end up surprising him.
Proceed down the stairs after he?s dead, and you?ll see another geezer being thrown through a flaming doorway by an Uruk. Run into the doorway and start using quick attack, as you?ll find yourself in a courtyard full of Uruks. Luckily, Gandalf is helping you. Waste the six Uruks (I like using Swift Terror to get into Perfect mode) then shoot the berserker on the balcony of a house, who is terrorizing a man, until he?s dead. Break the broken wagon in your way and continue to the next part of the level.
You go ahead to a clearing, in which some Rohan soldiers are fighting some Uruk-Hai. The soldiers are getting slaughtered, and some people get trapped in a burning building, with wood in front of the entrance, so they can?t get out. Run through and make sure your health doesn?t get to low, and kill all the Uruks. There is one berserker, two archers, and about five Uruks. After you?ve wasted them all, hurry to the burning building, and break the wood blocking the entrance before the small meter under the villagers health meter empties. If it doe empty, the overall villager health meter will go down very quickly, so watch it at all time during the fighting. If you have to save the villagers with the courtyard full of Uruks, then do so. After they are saved, you?ve beaten the level.

The Westfold
After a scene telling you how the King?s guards are also fighting to protect Rohan (because of course they?ve been a big help), you start this level with a cutscene in which two soldiers get the crap blasted out of them. Then your character uses his ranged weapon to blow up some explosives near to a group of oncoming Uruk-Hai and orcs, killing them all. You?ll be blowing things up in this manner the entire level, so it?s pretty fun. The one Rohan commander you have with you can?t die, so don?t worry about him. He can hold off other enemies while you are occupied with one.
More Uruks will come out of the entrance ahead, so blow up the explosives while the Uruks are right next to them. Kill whoever escaped the explosions and continue. You will then see a few shielded orcs, and two armored Uruk-Hai coming after you. Shoot the explosives in your path right when they are around it, to kill most of them. The ones that escape kill them, make sure to watch your health, and continue. Kill the normal Uruk to your left, and shoot the explosives to your left to kill the archer. Continue on down the path across a small stream. Two non-shielded orcs spring out of nowhere. Parry first, because they will come in swinging, and than hack them up. Continue on down the path, which spirals downward. You will then see a Rohan soldier being chased by a bunch of Uruks will explosives on their backs. Shoot them to blow them up. Go forth into a section of houses to meet a few Uruks and a few orcs. Shoot the explosives to your right to take down some of them, then kill the leftovers. You then see some soldiers fighting more orcs to your right. Kill the oncoming kamikaze orcs, near to the fighting to kill all the orcs there. Then, after you take down the remaining foes, continue through the archway to meet a shielded orc. Kill it, then a cutscene will come up, in which more Rohan soldiers proceed to get their asses kicked by some orcs and Uruks.
Head on down the path to the gate, shooting the explosive barrel in site. You are then met by a bunch of Uruk-Hai, since the area is filled with them. Make sure you kill them, but blow up the explosives all around the gate to take most of them out. After all the explosives are destroyed, and the Uruks remaining alive are wasted, continue through the gate. A barrel of explosives will be on your right, and another on your left, along with another barrel a way up the path. Kamikaze Uruks will be streaming down the path ahead, so after killing the enemies in the area, make sure they don?t reach you, or you will be dealt some serious damage. Keep killing them while moving steadily down the path. When you reach a clearing, sit back and destroy all the explosives in the area, killing most of the enemies fighting in the area. Take down the ones that aren?t killed, which are usually two Uruks off to the side that avoided the fighting and continue by breaking the wagon blocking the gap to a small pond.
A cutscene will then come up, in which Uruks pile on some explosives on a cart. It ends, and an archer sneaks into view to your right. Shoot the explosive barrel it is next to in order to take it down. Destroy another barrel to your left to take care of anything there, and blow up the kamikaze running across the pond. Run into the pond, and you are ambushed twice. Kill the Uruk-Hai, and the Orc up a little further, and make sure you bring down the kamikazes that are continually running towards you from the opposite bank. When you reach the opposite bank, three shielded orcs will attack you and your comrade. Kill them after smashing their shields, and then hack up the archers remaining. Go up to the lead cart of explosives and hack at it to end the level. The whole line of carts explode, and then a cutscene comes up in which a bunch of Rohan soldiers are heading to Helm?s Deep (where were these dudes before?). And then you?ve beaten the level.

The Gap of Rohan
This level starts off with a bunch of carnage from your previous battles, and then the alarm is sounded as the wolves of Isengard attack. You start off with your two other playable companions, as two wolves attack you. Shoot them with arrows, and when they come at you, use quick attack to hack them up. Then, break through the wood blocking your way through the burning, ruined building. Your two friends try to follow you through, but the rest of the wood ends up collapsing leaving you alone to face the remaining warg riders. There are a bunch of them on the rocks above you, so shoot arrows to take them down, after you kill the two that leap out at you, shoot the rest of them. This will take you to the next boss battle.
Boss Battle- Sharku
OK, this battle is actually very easy. You enter the clearing and there are a bunch of wargs sitting on these rock ledges. Two will jump down. Take them out, watch your health, but after they die they drop potion bottles. They will keep coming in twos until the rocks are empty, except for their leader, Sharku. He will jump down and come at you. Just keep hitting parry (square) to block his attack. Arrows don?t harm him, so don?t try that, and don?t run up and try to slash him, or his beast will tear you up.
After he charges about two times, he will send one of his cronies out to attack you. When you see the warg rider coming at you, charge your bow or axe throw up, and when he comes into the clearing release it to kill him in one shot. Sharku will charge you again. Block, and then Sharku will come back up in front of you, and bring his warg up on its hind legs. Go up and perform some combos to take his health down. This process will keep repeating, so remember to block when he charges, and run up and slash him while he?s on his hind legs. When his health diminishes all the way, you?ve won the level.

The Deeping Wall
OK, you start off this level with the scene from the movie in which the battle of Helm?s Deep starts. Then it breaks to a scene of Gimli and Legolas in a contest to see who can kick down the most ladders. You take control. Kick down the ladder in front of you, and keep going around the wall and kicking down ladders. The first enemies you meet should be shielded goblins, and shieldless orcs. Kill them if they get in your way, and keep kicking down ladders as much as you can. The other two playable characters will be watching the left and right side of the wall, but you still need to visit those sides frequently to clear them out.
The middle of the wall is where it is most likely to be overrun, since there are three ladders. Once the Uruk-hai start coming, after a cutscene in which a bunch of orcs archers fire a volley, the middle will be swarming with them. Get in there, and use your charge up attack, and speed attack to clear the Uruks. Berserkers will soon come at you, and just use War Rush to take them out. To track your progress, there is a meter up at the top right corner of the screen. If it flashes red, that means you better start clearing the walls, because you are about to be overrun. This mission can be frustrating, so expect to see the same cutscene a few times, as you replay it, but if you keep clearing the walls, and kicking down ladders, you should be fine.
After a long while of killing orcs and keeping the wall safe, a bunch of Elven archers will come and hit the enemy with a view nasty volleys, pushing them back off the wall. Aragorn then comes up and says they?ve fallen back for now, and, congratulations my friend, you?ve beaten the level.

The Breached Wall
Saruman?s nasty explosives are detonated, causing the wall to be obliterated. The enemy will start pouring through. Nothing you and a few elves can?t handle, until one dumbass elf besides to blow up a kamikaze Uruk in the midst of his comrades, killing them all and leaving you alone. Anyway, Eowyn comes out and warns that the women and children are trapped behind the gate leading to the caves, and unless you protect it, they?re dead. You start off with a few kamikazes running at you. Take them down with your bow, and go up to the gap that was broken into the wall.
Just stand in the gap, and keep your bow ready (or in Gimli?s case, axes). The area outside of the gap is all foggy, but you should be able to tell when a kamikaze is getting anywhere near you. Just blow them up before they have a chance to get to you, or the gate. There?s a good amount of space between the wall, and the gate to the caves, so you should be good. Now, after you take down a bunch of kamikazes, a company of orcs will come. They will usually run past you and up to the gate. If they reach it, come up and shred them from behind. Make sure you turn back to the oncoming kamikazes and take them down before they get close. You can also use the kamikazes to your advantage too, if they are next to a bunch of oncoming orcs, blow them up and the orcs die with them, or get knocked down which gives you an easy kill.
After a few companies of orcs and kamikazes come at you, you should be getting some Uruks too. They are a little harder to kill, and will usually be accompanied by a few orcs, usually shielded. Take care of them quickly, and don?t forget about kamikazes. There will be Berserkers too, so don?t neglect your handy War Rush to take them down. And watch the gate?s health. If it gets low, you may be in trouble later in the level, when the enemy brings up a nasty piece of machinery.
The foe will now bring up some orc archers. They are pretty easy to kill, since your ranged attack should be upgraded to the point where you can kill all of them in one hit. During, or after their destruction, a cave troll will come forth. Use your charge up attack on him, or the Fierce Attack method I spoke of earlier, to take him down. If there are still some archers standing make sure you take care of them, before taking on the troll.
Onto the last part of the level, where the enemy will bring up a catapult. It will keep launching fiery balls of flame at the gate. It will be guarded by a line of shielded orcs, with Uruks at their backs, so watch yourself when moving in. Swift Terror is useful after the shielded orcs are dead. After you have vanquished the catapult?s guards, it?s onto the catapult itself. It has three points of vulnerability, one on each side, and a shield in the front. Go up to each of these shields and hack away at them. You usually want to do powerful combos, like Swift Terror. If the gate is low on health, make sure you haul ass to destroy the shields. After the catapult is destroyed, a nice little cut scene ensues in which one of your companions (Legolas or Aragorn) is reigning arrows down on the enemy, and then Gimli pulls off some sweet moves. Legolas and Gimli compliment each other, and you?ve beaten the level.

Hornburg Courtyard
This is by far the hardest level, but I also think it is the most fun. You start off with a scene in which the enemy breaks through your defenses and basically crushes any man of Rohan standing in their way. You join the action, alongside Gimli, and a bunch of Rohan soldiers both on the wall and in the courtyard. Keep the large company of orcs, and mostly shielded goblins from the gate at all costs. Gimli does a little damage, and will get useful kill here and there, along with the Rohan soldiers, but other than that, you?re on your own. Anyway, the first enemies you see should be orcs, both shieldless and shielded, and goblins which are always shielded. This gets annoying, because you have to use fierce attack to shatter their shields, and with so many enemies in the area, and fierce attack being so slow, you usually end up getting knocked down. This is where Rising Attack comes into play, especially if you get knocked down while surrounded by enemies. Hit X while getting up, and Rising Attack should have all the surrounding enemies on the ground, giving you some breathing room.
After you?ve fought the orcs back from the gate for a little while, it will switch to Legolas, or Aragorn, who is being overrun by armored Uruk-Hai. Hurry up the stairs towards the back of the level. Don?t hesitate about leaving the gate either, it?ll be fine. Hurry on down the wall once you reach the top of the stairs, killing anything in your way, until you reach your comrade. Kill the three armored Uruks, get the experience block and head back down the wall to the courtyard. A cut scene will come up. The Uruks have joined the battle in the courtyard too, and Gimli is kicking some major ass, but hurry down and you?ll find the whole place overrun. And watch out for the big fiery ball of flame that hits the middle of the wall, before continuing. It usually does some major damage. Once you are in the courtyard, fight to the gate, then beat the enemies back. Uruks can be taken care off with Rising Attack and Swift Terror pretty quickly, so use those. Legolas or Aragorn also joins you down here, so you get a little weight off your shoulders.
After another few minutes of defending the gate, a man will yell something about archers on the wall. Head up there again, and use your ranged attack all the way down the wall on the other side of the fortress to take down the archers with the explosive arrows. Now, head back down to the gate and keep defending it. Now it?s time for your greatest test. Two trolls decide to join the fight. By now, the gate?s meter is pretty low. Make sure they do not get to the gate. Use your charge up attack on them. Your fierce attack method will not work, since Berserkers and Uruks will be all over the place, so take them down to the best of their ability. If you kill them before they reach the wall, and make sure to gather health bottles, you should be fine. Make sure to watch your health on this part, since it can go down quickly. After you?ve killed the last troll, it will fall on the gate smashing it to pieces. This is normal, and marks the end of the level. A cutscene follows in which you retreat up the stairs, and then the movie scene with the final charge with King Th?oden will then follow. Congratulations buddy, you?ve just completed the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers video game. Enjoy the deleted scene from the Two Towers afterwards.

Bonus Level: The Tower of Orthanc
OK, this is for those of you that want to completely beat the game, including the bonus level. You?ll be confronting Saruman in the Tower of Orthanc, and you?ll have to fight through 20 floors of assembled foes to get to him, since the magical pansy keeps running away. Thanks to my friend Mark for sending me this after I asked him to write it for me (I don?t have time to go through the entire thing lately). He played through it with Aragorn, so it will be the names of all his moves, but you should be able to figure out, since the only thing that?s different about the three playable characters? moves is that they have different titles in front of them (ex. Isildur?s War Rush, Balin?s War Rush, etc.) And also, devastating attack is the charge up attack I was talking about in the earlier levels. Now, onto the level.
Floor 1
Saruman will conjure up 5 Uruk-Hai for you to fight. Defeat them in any way which you see fit, but I would recommend ISILDURS DEATH CHARGE or BANE OF SARUMAN, depending on your mood and character. Just be careful with your health.
Floor 2
6 enemies- a mix between shield orcs and Uruk-Hai, do the same, but be careful with your health.
Floor 3
4 mini-axe wielding swords and 2 Uruk-Hai. More of the same, thank you please...
Floor 4
4 shield orcs, 2 Uruks. ISILDURS DEATH CHARGE, ISILDURS SWIFT TERROR them all, you know the drill...
Floor 5
3 Shield orcs and 3 mini axe orcs, this seems much too easy...
Floor 6
Saruman will conjure up 8 orc archers. I have a sneaky plan here for you. Run behind the nearest one and start to deflect the arrows. The slow witted orcs will shoot the one in front of you and kill him with the US Army?s favorite term... friendly fire. Now, run behind the next and the next doing the same thing. Eventually there will only be one left and you can take him out however you wish.
Alternatively, you can just follow the circle round slaying as you go, though you are liable to take for damage this way.
Floor 7
2 Uruks , 2 mini-axe orcs and 4 archers. Now here you must do a little running. Avoid the chasing pack by running from them. When you have a fair distance between you, shoot at the orc archers, or slay them with your weapon. When you have killed all four in this way, slay the Uruks and orcs to be clear of this floor.
Floor 8
4 shield orcs and 4 orc archers. Do the same thing- run away from the chasing
pack and shoot/slay the archers, then turn and deal with the shield orcs.
What could be simpler?
Floor 9
4 orc archers, 2 mini-axe orcs and 2 shield orcs. Yet again same method, run
away from the chasing pack, slay/shoot the archers, then turn and fight the chasers. Hunter becomes the hunted.
Floor 10
6 Little Uruks and 2 orc archers. Quickly take out the two archers and then fight the Uruks. ISILDURS DEATH CHARGE works wonders, as does BANE OF SARUMAN.
Lovely jubbly! But I'll tell you that on this one, you must keep an eye on your health, otherwise you wiil probably die. Also, your DEVESTATING ATTACK may be useful if you have the time to use it.
Floor 11
Again, another lot of orc archers, so run behind the nearest one and start to deflect arrows. Sure enough the archers will kill the one in front of you with friendly fire. Then move on to the next and do the same, and then the next.
Eventually, there will only be one left and you may dispose of it in a suitable manner...painfully I hope.
Floor 12
2 Uruks, 4 mini axe orcs and 2 orc archers. Take out the archers first by keeping ahead of the chasing pack and shooting/slaying them. Then turn and confront the chasing pack.
Floor 13
4 Uruks and 4 orc archers. Take out the archers first by getting some headway on the chasing pack, then shooting/slaying the archers. Then turn and defeat the 4 Uruks.
Floor 14
3 Uruks, 3 shield orc and two archers. Business as usual...
Floor 15
This floor sees the entrance of a Cave-Troll, but before you kill it, take out all of the surrounding archers. Then lure it into swinging for you (go close, then move out of the way) and when it has, quickly move in and use your DEVESTATING ATTACK on it. It will die in 1-2 hits if you have the highest upgrade.
Floor 16
Well, well, well, 2 archers and 2 Berserkers. Quickly take out the archers with your bow and then face the trolls. To defeat it there are two main methods. You must knock it to the floor using the CHARGE ATTACK or RUSH ATTACK, depending on which upgrade you have. Then, press R2 and finish the creature off. The other way is, if you are knocked to the ground, use the RISING ATTACK, to bowl the enemy over, then again finish him off with your killing move. Do this with the other and you'll be laughing.
Floor 17
2 Berserkers, 2 Uruks and 3 Archers, so deal with this one much in the same way as the last.
Floor 18
The cave troll returns in this one, backed up by a berserker and a host of archers. Quickly take out the archers then face the mountain troll. Now focus your attension on the Cave Troll. Lure it into swinging for you
(go close, then move out of the way) and when it has, quickly move in and
use your DEVESTATING ATTACK on it. It will die in 1-2 hits if you have the
highest upgrade.
Floor 19
2 Cave-Trolls, 2 archers and 2 mini-axe orcs. Take out the archers with your bow, then fight then orcs. When this is done turn your attention to the twoCave-Trolls. Lure it into swinging for you (go close, then move out of the way) and when it has, quickly move in and use your DEVESTATING ATTACK on it. It will die in 1-2 hits if you have the highest upgrade. Repeat this with the second troll to advance to the final floor...
Floor 20
3 Cave-Trolls, and I think there are some archers too. Kill the archers with your bow. When this is done turn your attention to the Cave-Trolls. Lure the first into swinging for you (go close, then move out of the way) and when it has, quickly move in and use your DEVESTATING ATTACK on it. It will die in 1-2 hits if you have the highest upgrade. Do this with the next two and you'll be complete!
