1. Boss- The Wasp Queen

   Location- Picnic Area

Keys to victory- She is the one you need to beat to get your first quest under your belt. She?s fairly easy, and spawns once you?ve killed every wasp in the area. At first, she?ll appear and spawn more wasps. Make quick work of them and begin shooting her with arrows. She?ll attack you every once in a while, but it takes off minimal damage, and if you keep hitting her with a steady flow of arrows, you should take her down before that becomes much of a problem. Kill her, and you?ve passed your first quest.

2. Boss- Earth Troll

   Location- Darkwood Weir

Keys to victory- The Earth Troll is the last thing between you and getting a group of traders to Barrow Fields. If you feel like hacking something up, but taking a lot of damage, you can go up and cut him with your sword. The troll does an earth blast attack which will blow you back. I wouldn?t suggest that method because after he blows you backward, he throws rocks at you, which gets really annoying if you can?t recover quickly enough. Stay back and hit him with arrows, dodging his rocks in the process. While your bow is strung, just move back and forth and make sure you don?t get hit. Keep doing this until you kill the creature, then the path is cleared for the traders and you?ve passed another quest.

3. Boss- Twinblade

   Location- Twinblade?s Tent

Keys to victory- Twinblade?s twin blades are lethal, so you have to avoid them at all costs. You have to be quick. Whenever he slashes at you, quickly roll away. You can roll around him, and keep doing so until he stabs the earth with his mighty blades. His blades get stuck, which leaves you free for a couple slashes in the back. He?ll rip his blades out and come after you, but just keep repeating the process. Also make sure you don?t get too close to his men outside the fighting circle, because they?ll give you a couple good slashes. After you defeat him, you pass the quest and surprise! You find your sister, who?s been living with the bandits since the raid on Oakvale. After you have your little reunion, you have a choice whether to finish Twinblade or let him live. If you choose to finish him, his cronies attack and surround you, and unless you use the Force Push spell, your pretty much dead. So I suggest you let him live, because it also gives you good alignment points.

4. Boss- Rock Troll

   Location- Witchwood Cullis Gate

Keys to Victory- This troll isn?t much different from the first one. Its defenses are just heightened and its attacks take more damage, so a better bow with an augmentation would be good here. Dodge the rocks like you did with the first troll in between shots and you should take this guy down after a while. Another good strategy for taking down trolls is using the Slow Time spell and then the Beserk spell. This allows you to deal tons of damage with your melee weapon.

5. Boss- The White Balverine

    Location- Knothole Glade/ Witchwood Lake

Keys to victory- You start off this battle in Knothole Glade. The White Balverine will jump into the town and attack you. You have to hit it ten times with your melee weapon or bow. This doesn?t kill the Balverine of course, just fends it off for now. The beast is also very fast, so your bow will pretty much be obsolete. After you fend it off the first time, it comes again. Hit it ten more times and it?s gone again. Go talk to the lady up the hill in the town. She?ll tell you the story about how the White Balverine is her husband, who got bit killing the last White Balverine and then turned into the creature. She gives you a Silver augmentation. Make sure you equip this to your melee weapon. Go to Greatwood Lake, where you will have your last showdown with the creature, this time being able to kill it. The White Balverine will occasionally summon more Balverines to attack you while you are fighting. Kill them as quick as you can (should be pretty quick with the Silver augmentation) and attack the White Balverine again. Good 10-12 swipes should do it for you. Once the creature is dead, head back to Knothole Glade for your reward.

6. Boss- Arachanox

    Location- The Arena

Keys to victory- The Arachanox is the last creature you have to defeat before you are crowned Arena champion. It?s a giant scorpion and it has some lethal attacks, so watch out. He has three basic attacks. The first one is a charging attack, which is hard to avoid because of the creature?s size, even though it?s a little slow. Roll away two or three times to avoid it. He lashes out with his pincers for the second one. Once you see the first pincer move even slightly, just roll out of the way and you should be fine. The third is some sort of energy beam attack. The creature gets in a crouched position and just sit there charging up this energy beam. This is when he is most vulnerable, so hit him with a few arrows or a few slashes. It will then burrow underground and either lash out at you with one pincer or send a bunch of small scorpions out to attack you, these are easily disposed of, so just hack them up with your melee weapon. After a few more rounds of that, the Arachanox is defeated and you are crowned Arena champ.

7. Boss- Thunder

    Location- Headman?s Hill

Keys to victory- This is an optional battle, since you are fighting over who gets to marry the Lady Grey. Thunder?s defense is very good, so it takes a while to defeat him. He will attack you at first, swinging his blade like a madman. Dodge this quickly. He blocks a lot too, so use your Flourish attack. After a little bit, he?ll cast a physical shield around himself and send out shockwaves. Just avoid these until the shockwaves are gone, and attack him again. When his health gets low enough, a cut scene will ensue in which Thunder throws him and you off of a cliff (Crazy SOB). You are then fighting around a small pool of water. Just keep repeating the process you used before. He?s a little easier to hit, so some of your normal melee attacks will get through, but you still must use your Flourish attacks every chance you get. When his health lowers enough he runs into a cave. Follow him into the cave to resume the battle. Thunder is pretty tired, so it will be very easy to hit him with normal attacks. Just keep hacking away and occasionally dodge his slashes and avoid his shockwaves and you should win the battle.

8. Boss- Kraken

   Location- Underground Chamber

Keys to victory- This mighty beast is the last thing between you and getting your mother out of her prison. It?s easier than it?s all hyped up to be though. The creature will have four tentacles sticking out of the water. The first two attack you at the same time. Roll away from their swings and they should get stuck onto the ground in front of you. Hit them with your melee attack. Do this two or three more times to each tentacle and they?re down. Use the same method for the two remaining tentacles. After all the tentacles are destroyed, the Kraken brings its ugly head out of the water. Cut away at it, but watch out for its energy beam. When its health gets low enough, another round of tentacles follows. Kill them all using the method mentioned before and attack the kraken?s head. This time should kill it. Now the path is clear for you to rescue your mother.

9. Boss- Maze

    Location- Hook Coast

Keys to victory- Maze is one of the harder boss fights in the game because he can use magic really well. His attacks include Enflame, which can be pretty devastating if you catch the full brunt of it, a lightning attack, and Fireball, which he lobs at you from a distance. You start in melee combat. He blocks the whole time, so use your Flourish to get through to him. Make sure you dodge or block his slashes, which aren?t used very often. He?ll switch to Physical Shield after a while and start hurling magic at you. Just avoid him until the shield is gone, and then attack again. He?ll teleport all round Hook Coast, and you?ll have to chase him down, which gets annoying. Keep using your Flourish and just avoid him whenever he does the Physical Shield spell. I suggest you use Beserk here, when his physical shield goes away. If you prefer to take him down with your bow, it might be harder, since you have to dodge his fireballs and avoid his Assassin Rush. After a while you finally kill Maze in front of the lighthouse.

10. Boss- Jack of Blades

      Location- Chamber of Fate

Keys to victory- After following Jack all over Albion, you have your final showdown in the Guild?s Chamber of Fate. Jack is holding your mother and sister hostage, but eventually kills your mom right in front of you. He then casts a protective vortex around himself that makes it so you can?t get anywhere near him. A bunch of his minions spawn and you have to kill them all before you can get to Jack. After they?re dead, Jack will come down with the Sword of Aeons and start attacking. His attacks are quick, so it?s almost impossible to roll out of the way without getting hit at least once, so just block them. The only way you can hit him is with your Flourish. Just keep blocking and using Flourish and you should be fine. Using Beserk should make this part quick. He then floats up into the air and hangs suspended in the middle of the Chamber. He uses two spells here, a force push spell that sends energy waves at you fairly quickly. Roll out of the way of these quickly. The second spell is lethal. Jack sends shrapnel flying everywhere. Get behind the stone barriers unless you want to die two times over. He?ll send three minions after you occasionally. Kill them while you?re avoiding his spells, and then attack him with your bow. Charge your shots up like crazy, and he should be dead in no time. It ends up being a pretty easy fight, especially if you have lots of potions and resurrection phials. It?ll leave you wondering; this is what was terrorizing Albion? Sure.

11. Boss- Snow Troll

      Location- The Lost Bay

Keys to victory- The snow troll is very much harder than the first two trolls you encounter. Its defenses are better, its attacks are stronger and quicker, and it?s way more annoying. It has a large repertoire of attacks. It basically has the same attacks except for a homing attack that sends a streak of ice at you up through the ground. Do everything to avoid it. Because it just keeps pushing you back and back. It attacks quicker, giving you less time to recover. The best thing to do is stay close and hack away at it, limiting what it can do. It can blast you back, but you can get up quickly and keep hitting it with your melee weapon. Use Beserk and the Fireball attack to inflict some good damage.

12. Boss- Thunder

     Location- Knothole Glade

Keys to victory- Like your first clash with Thunder, this one is optional. The soul machine in Archon?s Shrine needs a soul of an Arena champion. You either get to kill Thunder or go be victorious in the Arena once more. Thunder?s attacks are the same as your first battle. In case you didn?t do the Lady Grey quest his attacks are a quick sword slash, which must be blocked or avoided quickly, and a Lightning Helix kind of deal, that sends shockwaves of lighting all around, which aren?t extremely damaging. Thunder is invincible while he?s casting it, so wait until he?s done to attack him. Use your Flourish frequently and when he attacks roll behind him and slash at his back. He?ll be dead fairly quick. Despite how easy this is, I recommend the Arena choice because it gives you valuable experience to buy skills and against Summoners, which you?ll need to know how to fight.

13. Boss- Briar Rose

     Location- Archon?s Shrine

Keys to victory- After getting the soul of an Arena legend, you need the soul of a heroine. One of your choices is to attack Briar standing right in front of you. She?s fairly easy. None of her attacks take away a considerable amount of damage, and she isn?t the fastest hero. She can cast the annoying Physical Shield, a weak Force Push, and a crazy cloning attack. Killing the clones is pretty fun and gives you tons of experience. Her physical attacks are weak which make it pretty easy to block and roll away from. Just keep cutting her up and avoiding her magic attacks. Take it slow, and you?ll eventually beat her.

14. Boss- The Guildmaster

     Location- Guild Woods

Keys to victory- The soul machine needs one last soul, the oldest soul. One of your choices is the Guildmaster. He?s holed himself up in the Guild Woods and once you enter you are attacked by a sudden barrage of guards. They are fairly easy. Use some of your surround spells to push them back and then cut them down with your melee weapon. They are a little tougher to kill because the Guildmaster cast a couple health and defense spells on them, but not much so. Once all the guards are defeated the rest of the fight is a cut scene, so there?s nothing more after you kill the guards.

15. Boss- Nostro

     Location- Circle of the Dead

Key?s to victory- Nostro is very easy. He?s just like any other undead brutes except he has an energy bar. The only way you can harm him is by killing the Undead he spawns every once in a while. Just keep hitting him from behind when he is vulnerable, and when his energy bar runs out, you?ve won the battle. This is the other choice for the oldest soul, if you did not want to kill the Guildmaster.

16. Boss- Jack of Blades in Dragon Form

     Location- Archon?s Folly

Keys to victory- This battle with Jack, like the first one, isn?t that difficult. Jack is back as a dragon, which looks really cool. He has a few attacks. His fireball attack can be avoided by just rolling out of the way. His fire breathing attack is a little tougher to avoid, until you figure out that all you have to do is stand to the side of the area until it?s done. His biting and clawing attacks are extremely lethal, and it?s very hard to roll out of the way, but it can be done by just rolling backwards away from the beast. He starts out on the ground. Go ahead and hack away at him. You should have a bunch of resurrection phials and health bottles, so it should actually be more fun than hard. This is where his biting and clawing comes in. Roll out of the way, go back up and keep hacking at him, or shooting him with arrows. You should have Avo?s Tear, or the Sword of Aeons, so make quick work of his minions he calls out occasionally. He?ll then fly up above the fighting area and either spit fire balls at you are try to burn you in a roaring inferno. Just roll away from the fireballs and stay to the side of the area when he?s blowing fire everywhere. He?ll fly around and end up back on the ground, where you can just keep hacking at him, while avoiding his bite and claw attacks. Keep repeating this process and you will eventually win. Throw away Jack?s mask or bond yourself to it forever, and you win the game.
