I ask that people do not use this strategy guide and take it as their own for I might give permission if you ask for it first. Please contact also if you see any typos or grammatical errors. =================================================================== Updates/Version Info =================================================================== 2/13/06 This is the first version of the FAQ changes may come and will be noted here. =================================================================== Controls =================================================================== Right Thumb-Stick - look or turn A - Button grab weapons, open doors, climb ladders or actions B - Button flashlight X - Button toggle melee or forensic investigation Y - Button check ammo Left Bumper - fire stun gun Right Bumper - toggle firearm or melee mode Left Trigger - block Right Trigger - attack or collect evidence Start - pause menu =================================================================== Walkthrough =================================================================== /Chapter 1/ First you will have to follow your buddy to the crime scene.You will want to duck under the tape and follow him up stairs where his flashlight will break.In the first room on the right there will be a bird that you will need for the achievements of the game.Next you will have go find officer Becker and investigate the neck of the victim and the mannequins face before moving on.You will receive a gun and then you will have to talk to Rosa. Once you are done talking with Rosa you will want to follow the guy that you saw on the phone, he will come out after you so make sure to blow him away and head up the staircase, take a left, then a right and you will find a room with a piece of metal in it for the achievements.You will then want to head back down to a big area in which you will encounter some baddies, which you will want to eliminate, and then check one of the windows for another bird. You will want to go to a room, where there will be a flashback and you will want to proceed to flip a switch and then your gun will go bye bye. You will eventually recover from your "shocking" experience and will want to continue on your way until you come to a desk that you will need to move.You will want to take the door up and on your left to make it to another bird in front of a health box. You will want to head back to the unfinished wall that you saw and will want to make it through the hole that the Hobo creates and make a left where you will find another piece of metal.Some creepy stuff will happen and then you will head to a room where you will need use your gas spectrometer to find the next bird. You will want to head through a set of double doors and then proceed to go up some stairs. You will want to find the window with the bird in front of it and then there will be a cop that will throw you a fire axe, which you will need.You will need to make your way to a door that you will be able to use your fireaxe on in order to get to the Bronze detective badge. You will need to head back to the window where you got the axe and use it on the door next to it and eliminate the baddies in it.You will find a blue armoire that will contain the next bird that you need.You will eventually take several rights, as to where you will be able to find the next metal piece for the achievements. You will eventually go through the next set of doors and make your way to the end axing a few guys in the process to end this chapter. /Chapter 2/ You will want to first make your way through the path on the left and take the shovel and use it to open the fence door a little ways back.You will want to investigate the bin in front of you for photographs.After you are done talking with Rosa you will want to make your way to a closed shutter and intestigate the flasks next to it.There will be a hobo that comes after you which you will want to down and take his crobar and use it to open the box near the shutter.You will want to push the button and go down the hall take a left, and then a right and you will find the first bird of the chapter in this room.You will want to continue through a closed door and head up the stairs through the doouble doors and then you will be contacted by Vanhorn.You will want to continue on up the stairs on your left and head right until you hit another staircase which you will want to head down and to take a left and down the hobo with the gun. You will want to head through the door labeled archives and go through up the stairs and once you are upstairs you will want to grab the sledgehammer and make sure to grab the metal piece behind a file cabinet.You will eventually come to a door labeled 210 and will want to use the sledgehammer on the door.You will want to continue through the area until Vanhorn stops bothering and you will go up another couple sets of stairs and go under the shutter to enter the main hall. You will want to use your gas spectrometer in order to find the bird in the hall.You will want to head towards the ATM and take a right to find the next bird under a small table.You will eventually need to investigate eth Kitchen area and follow the trail.You will find a shutter and you will need to fireaxe a door and eventually get to an elevator.You will need to activate the ability to use the elevator and then you will need to make your way around two doors that you need to fire axe.You will find a room with the ladder leading down to a new area.You will find a metal piece near two pipes and you will need to head up the ladder at the end of the tunnel.You will want to take the first door and you will get a nice fire axe that you will need behind a shutter. You will want to head back to the previously mentioned and axe through it and make the elevator available to use. Make sure on the way to the elevator that you fire axe the other door in order to get the Ripple TV.You will want to use the elevator and make a right and there should be a bird in front of a large window. You will eventually encounter a shotgun touting maniac and you will want to head to the men's restroom in order to find another bird. You will eventually make your way around until you have another little flashback.You will want to go into the room on your right to get the next metal piece. You will want to investigate the floor behind the cupboard before moving it. Head through the now revealed are and take a left and investigate the recorder on the desk.You will next want to continue on and investigate a wall with a ton of newspapers on it.You will next get very scared and then follow the suspect by climbing through a window frame.You will want to grab the bird on the balcony before moving on and then enter the before closed door in order to finish this chapter. /Chapter 3/ You will want to immediately get out of the room and find the bird in the green newspaper dispensor thingy. You will want to follow down the staircase and around the corner.Some hobo will charge you with an axe so deal with him and make sure to grab the bird that was where the hobo was previously.There will be a door in which you can get through with your newly acquired axe and find the next bird in a black locker. There will be a good amount of fighting to do here so be prepared. There is a health box in the booth on the left and make sure to watch out for the shotgun wielding maniacs.You will want to grab the metal piece in the cash register before moving on and use your fire axe to move on and grab the bird on top of the tv in the room.You will need to continue on and will find a bird in the middle of the path that you are taking.You will find a metal piece on one of the benches in the next large area with more of the crazies that you will need to down. You will want to continue on and find the last metal piece at the end of the track and make sure to hop in the train to end the chapter. /Chapter 4/ You will want to first use your gas spectrometer in order to find the first bird of the chapter. you will want to take a right and will eventually encounter a two ladders and then you will need to jump a gap in order to continue on.You will want to head towards the red tank and move the large plank and you will find a TV. You will want to walk past the caged area in order to find your first metal piece at the end of the path.You will want to head back to the gap and take the first opening to a new cage area, but you will want a shovel before you continue on, so take two rights and you will find the shovel that you seek.You will want to use the shovel to get through the fence to climb the ladder.You will want to continue you on and follow the hobo on the tracks. Next head right and up the stairs to the train and make sure to investigate the fire extinguisher twice. You will need to wait until the door opens to the next car.You will be encountered by a big guy and will need to take his sledgehammer and use it to smash the lock on the fence.Investigate the map on the fan and then make sure to kick the fan and head through the newly opened area and grab the bird in the room through the second door on the right.You will want to exit the room and head your way to a set of stairs that head down You will want to follow the fleeing guy and grab the axe and head back up stairs to the door that you will need to use the axe on.There will be two "crawlers" in the next area so be prepared for a little fight.You will need to jump down the manhole and turn the valve and head back to the area in which you got the axe and head down the big ladder in the area. You will want to continue down another level by the way of a ladder and open the fence door on your left.As you make your way there will be a small room where you will need to use the gas spectrometer to find the bird in the area.You will need to head to the second generator room with the health box and find the ladder to the left of the box and head up and head up the next ladder also. There will be a bird on a box next to a shovel.You will want to jump down into another room and after you head down the stairs pick up the next bird in the middle of the stairs.There will be another generator room in which you will need to take the staircase around.You will need to grab the shovel lyring near the stairs and get through the fence door and head to an area where there will be a fire.You will need to head up the stairs a little bit and use the valve at the end of a little area in order to stop the fire. At the tracks you will want to turn right and then take the first door on the right and there will be some baddies to dispatch.You will want to head up the stairs and run past the train and you will find another metal piece on the barricade.Go back to the stairs and go the rest of the way up and on a table there should be the last bird for this chapter. You will want to investigate the map that is also on the table twice.There will be a closed door, that you will want to go through and grab the crobar. You will want to head back to the general area in which you found the previous metal piece and use the crobar to open the door to the train and investigate one of the seats for a shoe print.You will want to investigate the compartment overhead and the subsequent mannequin arm.You will want to use the ladder to climb to the top of the train and follow the chick.Before you finish the level make sure to take a left before the fence door and find the last metal piece near a bunch of cardboard boxes.You will want to go through the fence door, through the locker room and you are then done with this chapter. /Chapter 5/ First you will want to head right into a small little area and then left and get the bird lying on the floor.You will want to move around the stairs and go through the broken window, and then go through the door on the right.You will need to move a couple of clothes racks and a guy will get capped, and you will want to look for an pillar that has a metal piece attached to it.You will now want to proceed out onto the balcony and find the second bird out there.You will then need to head up the stairs where you will have a little encounter.You will eventually proceed and find a red desk the print on the desk.You will then want to follow the girl down the stairs and take a right then a left to get to same changing areas. You will follow a small trail that leads to an elevator shaft and you will want to grab the sledgehammer and head into the area that you came across before the sledgehammer. There will be a door in here that will be padlocked, so use your nice sledgehammer and head down the stairs.You will want to head past the christmas tree and up the stairs and find another metal piece around some of the pay phones.Continue up the stairs and there will be 3 wood things, in one there will be a bird that you will want.You will continue on past the health box and find that you are at another balcony.You will want to continue until you find a whole in the wall and jump in it and go through the window.You will come to another hole that you need to jump down and follow the "trail" to a mannequin head that has some footprints that you will want to investigate next to it. There will be a nice little hobo scene and then you will want to go down a little bit and find the next metal piece near a rack in here. Continue through the hobo hole and you will find a bird on a rack and a creature that is playing dead so be careful.You will eventually find an area that is flooded but with an axe, so grab it and go all the way back to where you found the foot prints. You will once again want to proceed down the stairs and go up the next set of stairs and axe the door on the right and go to the desk in the room and grab the bird.You will want to go back and then axe the other door and go up the stairs.In the 2nd cubicle thing you will find the last bird for the chapter.You will want to proceed to the 3rd cubicle and then follow out from where you saw the addict and cop.Make your way to where the cop cars are and you will eventually find some double doors to go through in order to finish the chapter. /Chapter 6/ This is a pretty short chapter. You will find the first two birds right in front of you when you start.You will want to make your way to the left and then move one of the planks in order to find the third bird.You will want to make your way right and find the Silver Detective Badge and piece of metal on the wall.You will want to continue til a hobo will grab you through the wall, you will want to continue until you see a guy with a shottie start to come after you, but you will also want to look for the fourth bird with some file cabinets.The piece of metal will be on the wall in front of you and behind the desk.You will then want to climb out the window and immediately find the fifth bird on the roof before going on.You will then want to grab the sixth bird before jumping down again.Next take a right and run along the all until you find the final piece of metal and for the health box that is nearby.You will need to survive the following onslaught until you see a fence door open, and jump in the bin to make it out this quick chapter. /Chapter 7/ You will want to take a left and enter a lobby and there will be a bird on the desk. Head to the east and use the elevator, and once your trip is done take a left until you run into Rosa.You will want to immediately grab your new Taser and follow Rosa where she will get the Master Key.You will want to go to the end of the office on your left and head back after you get pretty scared. You will want to go through the broken window and follow Rosa into the next office. You will want to use teh computer and head out to the right into the corridor to some desks, in one there will be the next bird.When you continue on you will want to investigate some droplets in front of the door that can be fire axed.You will want to head to the end of the hallway and grab the metal piece behind a crate of books.As you head back you will be attacked by a hobo with an axe.As you follow the hobo you will want to look for the next bird under some file cabinets, close to where a hobo will shoot at you.You will want to continue on and retrieve the axe that the one hobo had and use it on the door mentioned earlier and you will want to investigate the server racks in order to get the crobar. You will want to head out this room and take a right follow by two lefts to find a closed door.You will want to wrench it open with the crobar and get in the elevator.Once you get to the lobby there will be some dangerous guys.You will want to grab the crobar off the desk and head to where you started the chapter and you will want to find the next TV in the closed door there.There will be a large painting in the lobby and you will want to get open any of the doors in order to get.You will want to head upstairs into a large room and will want to find the next bird next to a sledge hammer in the room.You will also want to grab the sledgehammer and smash the padlock on the ladder in this room.You will want to move the ladder to the right spot and grab the bird and then jump down to where Rosa is on the floor. You will want to subsequently follow her until you will eventually work your way to finding a metal piece behind a crate of books near a large book room.You will eventually make your way until you fall a few stories. You will want to make your way around the racks and you will eventually find your way to Rosa on the otherside of a gap.You will want to jump down and then make your way around some more racks.There will be a "crawler" that emerges and there will be a bird on a table next to where it comes out from so keep your eyes open.You will want to keep cover in the next room until the baddies run out of ammo and then make your move.You will want to head into the room in which they came out of and find the final piece of metal behind one of the desks. You will eventually take a left and meet up with Rosa, follow her up some stairs, kill the baddies, and then follow her to end this chapter. /Chapter 8/ The first bird is behind a desk in the Room 3 to your immediate right. You will want to head to your left and enter the room and check the wall near the desks to find the first metal piece.You will continue by ducking under a wall and grab the sledgehammer and use it to get through the door next to it. You will continue on and smash the padlock on the fence door to get up the stairs and find the lab in order to get a nice meeting with the butcher.You will continue through the classrooms.You will want to find the boys bathroom to find the next bird in a pile of stuff.You will want to head into a classroom with a "crawler" in it and investigate the chalkboard.You will head back out only to fall down and then you will want to take the door that will lead around a health box and you will want to follow the butcher past the kitchen area and climb over the little wall.You will want to take the stairs after heading through the next door into the sports hall.You will want to take a right and jump down the broken staircase to follow with two rights and one left to find a bird at the end of the hallway. Next you will want to make a u turn and run to the end of the hallway and enter the litle kitchen and make your way to a little meeting with the butcher.You will want to make quick work of him in order to continue on.You will want to grab the axe and head out of the kitchen up the broken staircase and use it on one of the doors and enter the sports hall.You will want to jump down a new hole and look around on the desk for the next metal piece.You will find a ladder, eventually, and climb it and proceed to the staircase and head down to find the TV and next bird. You will want to go all the way up the stairs and go outside tot he playground area and take on the waves of enemies, you can take them out with the rifle that is where you were lying around and then eventually make your way to the little window to where the guy with the machine gun and jump through it. You will want to continue on and investigate some blood on the wall to your left.Continue on through the rusted fence door and into the locker room.You will find the next bird in a little room on your left and further on you will need to climb over two small walls.You will want to find a U shaped locker formation and investigate one of the lockers until you find a scene where you will want to cry.You will want to grab the shovel and head past the showers to use it on the fence and turn the valve door.You will want to continue on to jump into the pool.You will want to get out at the other end and open the door in front of you to grab the fireaxe and head out and left to use the axe on the door to continue.Once in there you will want to head to the other wall and grab the sledgehammer and use it on a padlocked fence and find the metal piece on the other side.You will want to look near the entrance of the room for the bloody shower and go past it look for the bird on a table after the door.When Rosa is done talking you will want to exit through one of the doors to where Vanhorn is to finish this chapter. /Chapter 9/ First off investigate the wall to the right of you.You will want to follow little trails to investigate the four inscriptions in order to get one of the awards in the end.You will want to take a left and head through the room and grab the bird on the table.After that head through the double doors and enter the room on the left.You will want to move the small drawer to find the metal piece.Head out of this room and step over into the kitchen to open the refrigerate to find a bird and investigate the oven to find the first said inscription. Open the door next to the fridge and head down to the basement and take a right and after a few steps you will find a little area in which you will find the metal pieceand after that you will head to the next room and find the next bird in front of the mirror.Head on a little bit more to find the next inscription on a little sink type thingy.Next you will want to find a rusted little oven with a gold detective badge behind it and then head up the stairs to the kitchen to where you first started off. Head right into a hallway with 3 doors in it and take the second room and move the bathfub to find the next bird and look at the closet for the third inscription.Move to the childrens room and find in the closet for the last metal piece and the bed for the next bird.Smash the padlock on the door in orer to get up to the attic to get the last bird for the chapter.You will soon be assaulted by a baddy and you will then want to head over to where some planks were and jump down to investigate the crate for the last inscription.You will want to head to the large mirror and open it and step into the little hiding area. You will want to head up to the table in order to investigate the newspaper clippings, then head back to the beginning again. You will have to take out some baddies and eventually take out a hobo with an axe.You will need to take out your axe and use it on the balustrade.You will want to head up to where there was a closed room, and after a little scene uyou will want to head to the stairs and wait for the killer and keep going at him until the chapter is finally finished. /Chapter 10/ When you are ready you will find a 2X4 on fire which will unblock your path and grab the bird on the floor.Head out of the barn and cross the area and ahead of you will eventually have a piece of metal on a side of the building.You will next head right and move to the nearby horse trailer for the second bird.Nearby you will find a bird on a tractor engine.Continue onto the bridge and look at one of the supports to the right for the next piece of metal.Continue on into the building and move the crates in order to get the next bird.You will next want to pull the lever, and continue on through the little shed and head for the barn in front of you where two baddies with guns will be waiting for you.Make your way through the building and inside the next building you will find some guns and health kits and a bird, which you will definitely be needing.In the next building you will find the last piece of metal and the final bird on a stick. You will want to get out and grab the axe that one of the "crawlers" has.After some killing the demon will come and face you.You will need to hit him like 5 times.You will then want to use the d pad to do some nasty things to the thing.You will need to take on some more baddies then head up the ladder to face him 2 more times doing the exact same thing to "kill" the demon.
